Scorcher
Didn't see any threads about him so I hope i am not being redundant. I didn't see the game and am wondering does he seem like a legitimate fantasy tight end for the ROS, or is he just another flavor of the week. It seems there have been a lot of TE candidates for the solution to the TE problem most of us have with Wright being one of the guys this week. Just want to know if Reed seems to be a 1 week wonder or is he someone that will viable on a weekly basis? Will RG111 be effective getting him the ball. Dcat
I grabbed him last week in 3 deep leagues where there are only useless TEs left on the waiver wire. He's the real deal. I have Finley in 2 of those leagues and there is a concern about his injury yesterday, so I'm grateful to get Reed.
Shorttynaz
He was on a LOT of waiver wire pickup recommendations last week. Unfortunately for me, I drank the Tim Wright Kool-Aid instead and passed on Reed. Â But, I lost AGAIN this week and will have the #2 waiver priority. The guy who has the #1 priority has Graham and J Thomas - so he won't be needing a TE - so I'll be able to fix my pick of the wrong guy last week after all.. Scorcher
I started with Cook, and have been chasing TE ever since, G Graham, Dickson et al, it would be nice just to have someone that will score out of the 0-2 range every week. tazinib1
I picked him up a few weeks ago and he's basically my TE b/u to Gonzo...but the way the Falcons are playing, I might stick with Reed the rest of the way.

wpayers
Holding onto to Cook too long actually may have saved my season. I dumped him 2 weeks ago and thought I was dumpster diving by picking up Reed. Â Thank you Jared! Edited October 21, 2013 by wpayers
devi0us
Picked up Reed in the 2 leagues that I've been toggling between the black unicorn and fleener...dropped fleener in both leagues...luckily in my other leagues I have J. Thomas or J. Cameron...
kingsofromance
I'm not buying it. I am a huge Bears fan and their defense has been really bad this year. The middle of the field was wide open all day. For the record do not give up on Tim Wright just yet. ROS Tim Wright will out perform Reed. Some pretty friendly TE games with Denver, Minn, and Philly with the exception of Chargers in the next 4 games.

Cowboyz1
Owned him since week 2. Very athletic and has great hands. Made some nice wiggle moves yesterday and is now up to speed on the nfl game.

stevegrab
I don't think it is a one week thing. No he won't put up these stats regularly, but is a startable TE for the rest of the season. I've been watching his stats for most of the season, since I started with Witten as my starter and Fred Davis as the backup. I've since dropped Davis for other help at other positions and am rolling with one TE. After this performance my chance of getting him on waivers will go down (especially since the Finley owner will be looking for help). Also where did you see this? Everyone this morning has been saying Briggs will be back after the bye week. Scorcher
In one of my leagues an owner has Gronk and Cameron, as well as Martin and Spiller and not much else at RB. I have been trying to get some kind of trade talk going as I am stacked at RB. He won't even answer , right now I have to say I would love it if Reed turned out to be legit and I could just forget about it while he struggles at RB. Everyone this morning has been saying Briggs will be back after the bye week.   Well no crap your not on the team, but if you own the Bears TM D....ugh nevermind. And here ya go...I was thinking of Brian Cushing sorry bout dat:   A source tells ProFootballtalk that Bears LB Lance Briggs (shoulder) is out 4-6 weeks. Briggs' injury did not appear serious when it happened Sunday as he didn't appear to be in much pain and was announced as "probable" to return. Further testing must have shown significant damage. It's yet another blow to a Bears defense that has been decimated by injury up front and currently ranks 25th in total defense. Briggs, a seven-time Pro Bowler, led them in tackles (64), tackles for a loss (8), forced fumbles (2) and sacks (2). Chicago has a unit to attack from a fantasy perspective. Oct 21 - 12:38 PM Source: Profootballtalk on NBCSports.com  Maybe not out for the season, but 4-6 games is certainly relevant when the Bears D is reeling and you lose your best defensive player. dougsul
Reed was very athletic at Florida that past two years, but they did not know how to get him the ball. He has been a number 1 tight end since he became the starter three weeks ago. With Garcon taking coverage and the threat of the running Qb, I would say he should be good the rest of the year. Btw he caught all nine pass that were thrown to him. That will not be lost on the offensive coordinator.

I also picked up Wright last week, but I was kicking myself for not grabbing Reed before he was gone. What makes you think Wright will be better?  Not that I'm doubting your opinion on this, but I just really have to wonder how many targets he gets going forward considering the stellar play of Vincent Jackson of late along with the return of Mike Williams. I'd love to see Wright go off the rest of the way and end this TE headache I've been fighting all year, but I just want a good reason to believe it will happen. Scorcher
I watched the game last week and Reed made some difficult catches in traffic. He looks to me that he has very good hands and just needs the targets.

I think Wright fits really well into what Tampa wants to do. He works the middle of the field really well and has more explosion than Reed. Also I guess I believe that the 22 targets V Jax got won't happen again allowing more opportunities for Wright. Both players will be good starts now and then but I really like Wright because IMO he will have more consistency. He's a true WR playing TE.
