Andrew Quarless

Endzone Is Near

Is Quarless a sleeper at TE now that Finley is hurt? I've heard he's primarily been used to block at GB so far, but has he been given opportunity to be the primary pass catching TE? He looked pretty good catching passes at Penn State, so I don't see why not. The QB is still Aaron Rodgers and he hardly has anyone to throw to...

I don't know if there's much to this, but some sites are seeing Brandon Bostick as a possibility to get some catches at TE.

Plus, like all great TEs nowadays, he played some basketball in college.

I'll be interested to see if he gets many looks this weekend.

Not sure who to use, just know I wont be using Jared Cook.

Have been hearing a little about him as well. At this point I may be stashing 3 TEs hoping one worth keeping breaks out.

Thanks.

He is more a blocking TE. In 2010, he had trouble catching the pass when Finley was hurt, then was out a long time due to a freak injury, then in his few chances this year, still had trouble catching the ball.

This. Dude has hands made of stone.

Then he sounds like Finley version 2.0

I have been streaming TEs in 32 Homers since I had the foresight to draft Gronkowski.

On a fluke, I picked up Bostick last Friday, before the injury. I had read that they might be getting him more involved and thought he couldn't be any worse than Ed Dickson...

Simply dismissing Quarles is foolish IMO. He isn't anywhere near the athlete Finley is, but he plays for Rodgers, and Rodgers is one of those rare QBs whose overwhelming ability can cause receivers to transcend their physical limitations.

Not saying Quarles is a TE1, but he could easy slip into that large pack of upper to middle TE2s. That's something given where we are in the FF season.

Completely agree. I do think he's a very talented TE though. I've seen highlights that prove it. I'm done listening to analysts......they said the same crap about Julius Thomas.

Right now, my best-case for Quarles is he ends up with Bubba Franks numbers. (i.e. 30-270-5)

I'm running with Bostick this week with Gates on bye. Why not. I've seen good things on him since preseason

Thought about picking them both up but I don't have the roster space unless I drop my weekly flex fill in and flex Bostick while starting Quareless at TE. One of these guys will be productive going forward.
