historymike
A couple of thoughts: Not to take away from his great game (Ellington saved my arse in two leagues where I started him to cover byes) but 80 yards came on one scamper. His YPC was 5.0 factoring this one out; still excellent, but not other-worldly. The real concern about Ellington is his size. Officially he is 5'9" and 199 pounds, but I'll bet his game weight is under 190. Can he handle every-down status? Clearly he is the most productive RB the Cardinals have, but this is still a pass-oriented offense. To date they have run 267 pass plays to only 154 rushing plays. Temper your hopes that Bruce Arians is suddenly going to become Woody Hayes. Ellington and the Cardinals face some tougher defenses in the next 8 weeks, including Indy, Tennessee, and Seattle, plus SF in Week 17 for those who play in cruel leagues. They do get a turn against the gushing sieve that is the JAX run defense, but Ellington will not have a cakewalk the rest of the way. cecileatmyshorts
Does anyone think Ellington has keeper value? I claimed him off waivers earlier this year to handcuff Mendenhall. If I kept him next year he would count as a 13th round pick. I woke up this morning and I got offered a 5th round pick next year. Sell high or keep him???
