Butkus
Maybe I'm just a litle cranky this morning after indulging in far too much of my kids hard earned halloween candy last night, but a question for the collective here.... Does the "Four Pack" portion of What's on Tap Friday feature affect your weekly FFL lineup in any way? Each week, the "Fantasy Four Pack" is listing guys like Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tony Romo as QB recommendations. This week's recommended RB's are J. Charles, A. Peterson, L. McCoy and D. Murray. Are any of these guys NOT going to be started this week in any respectable league? Wouldn't it be more informative to concentrate the entire article on the mid-tier weekly bust out performers, deeper sleepers, FanDuel hits and misses, etc? Listen - I truly appreciate the hard work that goes into all the content we get at this fine site....I've been a member for over a decade if not longer. But let's put ourselves out there a little more and give us some insight on guys we may be debating for our lineup, not the automatics. Sound fair? ok....back to my pepto....
Wpob
That's funny because I was thinking the same thing this morning. It seems like the Four Pack is for a weekly redraft league. I do not get much, if anything out of it. And to the families that gave out large size candy bars, my kids now adore you more than anything but Santa Claus. TheCMB
Looks like there's some decent info in the 4pack - but I agree, no point in recommending that Rogers should be in starting lineups. Utilize that space to discuss a less obvious matchup.
Butkus
Perhaps that's it.....its for those guy who are drafting a new team each week via the many outlets to do so... If so, I guess that makes more sense. But you could just go with the guys listed as top 4 in the Huddle Weekly projections too, no?
keggerz
My guess is that the value is for those that play in Daily Leagues which seem to be all the rave now.
Scooby's Hubby
The article did make me regret dropping Nate Washington , until I reviewed his numbers and realized why I did so, LoL.
Ron677
WTF guys? What's on tap is NOT for season long fantasy leagues. That would make no sense. IT IS FOR DAILY FANTASY SALARY CAP GAMES WHERE YOU DRAFT ANY PLAYER YOU WANT WITHIN SALARY LIMITS EACH WEEK. I thought that was obvious. If you don't do daily fantasy then the article has no relevance to you... It's silly to complain about it when you clearly don't even have any idea what it's there for. It is obvious, but calm down man geez. I believe the OP was merely trying to determine what it was geared towards. I read the article again and looked around the site for an explanation of "What's on Tap" and I cannot find one. If there is an explanation and I missed it I apologize in advance. However, if you didn't know better you would have no idea what the purpose of the article was. I myself have never played in a Daily Fantasy Salary Cap game or anything of the sort so all those goofy $ numbers mean absolutely nothing to me. Having never played in such a league I thought they were bid values for waivers or something like that because I've heard of that before. Is there a place on the site that states what the purpose of that article is? The "In Season" page states the following: "Fantasy player advice and a new beer each week you can add as a free agent to your fridge."

I just was a bit annoyed because it sounded like he was complaining without understanding it and wanted to make my post stand out so it wasn't overlooked. I'm not mad. I didn't know about Daily Fantasy either until a couple weeks ago when I read the What's On Tap article for the first time ever. He mentioned DraftKings and it sounded interesting - I wanted to see what it's all about and got hooked. Really love the double ups where you just have to beat half of the other players (there are different sizes with 50 players, 100 players, 125, 150, 200, etc) to get paid and double your money. If it cost $5 to join then you get $10 if you beat half of the other players which isn't that hard to do. I've never seen a place on the site that says the purpose of the article either. My first reaction was why is he telling me to start Peyton Manning that's the most obvious thing ever, but then I kept reading and realized it was for a different kind of fantasy football. From there I went to see what daily fantasy is all about and I've been doing it for money alongside my season long league for the last few weeks since then. Big John
"daily" fantasy on a league where games are played weekly?
WJW
I always figured what most would find helpful would be the "Gametime Brew" section. But yes, as some have noted, Harley plays weekly FF and that is what this feature is geared towards. He tries to make that point in his opening paragraphs each week. Some weeks may be more successful than others.
Butkus
Well there you have it. Just goes to show people read stuff (or dont read) through their own often uninformed filter on. Thanks for setting me straight fellas. Might have to check out this weekly thing....
Joessfl
Well, after reading all this banter, i am apt to go check out some of this weekly FF you all speak of. Dammit, more "investment" into this hobby.

the outlaw
"daily" fantasy on a league where games are played weekly? yes, john...you know, kind of like "weekly" baseball leagues where you set your lineup "daily!" lol

stethant
The key part of this article was the Southern Tier Pumking recommendation. The fact that you jackwagons missed out on that makes it all the better for me, not having to compete with you for the dwindling national supply.

Jackass
i agree that this article may have limited appeal to the masses. I enjoy the beer section but skim over the rest in a few seconds. I have no idea how many people play in the weekly league format but it doesn't sound like a high percentage right now.

They bring them out too early and dont make enough. I want pumpkin beer october to december, not august to october. Rant rant rant
