marc_bucs
I have just picked him up and am going to slot him in my flex this weekend! Has anyone else picked him up in light of fosters injury? If so how do you think he will get on
Hingle
I think he will do great as long as someone doesn't hit him good in the ribs. If Tate was healthy i think a lot more people would be scooping him up. I plan to keep an eye on him this week and make a move next week if more info is out about Foster and he is still available.
marc_bucs
Well yeah I would of liked to have done that but I don't think in my league I can afford to sit on pick ups like this!
nelsosi
If Foster's season is over (a possibility), it wouldn't surprise me if Dennis Johnson actually ended up outscoring Tate for the rest of the season
Hingle
Regardless of what I do, I like the pick up. I think Tate will do good in the starting role.
marc_bucs
I'm not to sure about Dennis Johnson he has on got 36 yards all season so there must be a reason he never gets a look in! Heck I have done more yards than him while typing this
nelsosi
He only has 36 yards because he was signed off the Browns practice squad last week. He was with the Texans in training camp, but they kept Cierre Wood over him as the #3. WHen they cut Wood a few weeks ago, and Tate and Foster both got hurt, they signed Johnson back again. He's essentially now their #2, playing behind a guy (Tate) who has 4 broken ribs. Think about the potential opportunity there......
loaf
The cards are much more stingy than the colts. Tate's going to find the running rough this Sunday
stevegrab
Tate on waivers, I suppose in some leagues.
MustOfBeenDrunk
Tate on waivers, I suppose in some leagues. I was thinking the same-thing ,, been rosterred all year & last year too in all of my leagues
Scorcher
I dropped Tate 2 weeks ago because I wasn't a foster owner in that league and had much better RB's on my roster. As I said in another thread he hasn't been all that great this year and now playing with 4 cracked ribs.

Agree, wasn't that long ago that people were talking about an unknown named Arian Foster. Edited November 8, 2013 by Scorcher

Scorcher
Yes, no offer, I found myself in dire need of a QB on a Sunday morning so didn't have time for a trade. I am fine though with L Bell, R Bush, D Woodhead and Rice and Vereen on IR. It was a matter of who I needed least. I think any one of the other RB's will do better than Tate anyway. For anyone thinking of asking no it is not a 4 team league, just good drafting and WW play. Edited November 8, 2013 by Scorcher

You know I wasn't thinking that , I was more on the path get what you can from the Foster owner before a straight drop , why let him grab Tate for free in case you guys meet in the playoffs and Tate is possibly his only RB2 ? I didn't think you were thinking that, but there are others who will chime in with a remark like that if you have a good core of any position. Nowadays I just put in as a disclaimer. If I had the time I would have made an offer, but I ended up grabbing Pryor off of WW and it helped get me the win so I was okay with my decision. You're right though, I did miss an opportunity. Qb is my weakest area on that team. I am stacked at every position and in first place, the Foster owner is dead last and out of contention. He was the one who grabbed Tate. kcmast
Some leagues have very small benches and with byes you have to make hard cuts. Some people on here fail to realize that when they slam you for saying so-and-so is on my ww.

And Cleveland, with its stable of Pro-Bowl RBs in a washed up McGahee, Chris Ogbanana, Fuzzy Whittaker and Dion Lewis simply had no room to activate this hidden gem, Dennis Johnson? Come on...... nelsosi
I'll tell you what. People in this forum are always starting threads looking for headsups on sleepers and late season fliers. Here's one that is staring you right in the face. Doesn't always work out, but don't be blind to the opportunity - he's 2nd on the depth chart, playing behind a guy with broken ribs, and is probably on 99% of waiver wires. If I'm a 7-2 manager or better, that's a great stash. Remember that Arian Foster came off the practice squad under similar circumstances in late 2009.
