heehawks Posted November 10, 2013 Share Posted November 10, 2013 He would have had a good game, but Eli choked badly with a terrible throw on a sure 5 yard TD pass. Eli is sucking it up badly right now which is killing Cruz's value. Until Eli starts playing better, Cruz will only be an average WR going forward. ts Posted November 10, 2013 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Cruz is doubled on almost every play, since Nicks shows up rarely and (until today at least) the NYG have had zero running game. Cruz does seem to have had an alarming number of drops this year (I have not looked up an actual count, so that is just an impression from watching most of the games) as well as more than a few plays where he & Manning have simply not been on the same page - maybe that is due to the horrid o-line play and the pressure that Manning has endured all season, maybe not. My own view is that while Randle is a decent WR and will get better, many of the TDs he's generating this year are due as much to the attention team give Cruz as to anything else. Maybe now that Andre Brown is back to offer something resembling a running game, Cruz will have a few more chances. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
