(11/12/13) Though Falcons coach Mike Smith didn't have an update on Tony Gonzalez Monday, he sounded pretty confident in the tight end's ability to play through a toe injury based on the way he finished Sunday's game.

"Tony is one of the toughest guys I've ever been around in terms of his pain tolerance, and he was able to go back out there and play," Smith said. "We taped him up and got him back out there."

That's the good news heading into Week 11 at Tampa Bay. The bad news is the Buccaneers manhandled Gonzalez when the Falcons last faced them in Week 7, limiting him to two catches for 30 yards.

The Falcons have wide receiver Roddy White back, and he should help take some attention away from Gonzalez, but it didn't make much of a difference last week. Gonzalez had three catches for 29 yards against the Seahawks.

Between that game, the Week 7 performance and his ongoing struggles since Julio Jones went down, Gonzalez isn't an automatic play in Week 11. Of course, the issue for him is who you could play instead. Tight end isn't the deepest position. Even Dave Richard, the most pessimistic of the CBSSports.com Fantasy analysts about Gonzalez's chances in Week 11, ranks him 10th at the position, so in most cases, you'll want to stick with him.
