(Rotoworld)KRON Bay Area 4 reports former Bengals and Raiders LB Thomas Howard was killed Monday in a high-speed car accident on an Oakland highway.

Analysis: Howard was allegedly driving over 100 MPH when he lost control of his BMW sedan and collided with a semi-trick in the left lane. Howard's BMW later struck a Chevy Monte Carlo and Honda CRV. The driver of the Honda was also killed, while the Monte Carlo owner was hospitalized. The accident is believed to have occurred at roughly 12:50AM Monday. Howard was a second-round pick by Al Davis' Raiders in 2006. He was a starter for five years in the NFL.

no disrespect to this guy and his family, but why is this being posted? A marginal player that most people probably don't remember. I don't mean to be rude, but it was a freak accident.

If he died because brain trauma or something caused by brain trauma, but people die everyday in America, I know it sucks but it's not really worthy of a thread in a fantasy football forum.

With all due respect, "getting a thread" is not exactly a reward. It's a topic of conversation, an observation, a reporting of news.

Bagging on FootballJoe is unwarranted here, ICDHO.

+1 I don't want to see the forums 100% of gee I should have started Sproles instead of Rice. We need to lower that down to closer to zero. How? By posting news like this.

Or this place is gone.

I guess being a Code Enforcement Inspector with the City has gotten me think skinned. I didn't even realize I was being banged on. :)

Thanks for having my back.

Not to mention, the dude's dead, so I'm not sure who exactly it would be rewarding.

Stuff like this gets posted all of the time, and I don't really see a problem with it. If the guy is irrelevant in your mind (not you, CD, but the other poster), don't read the thread. Like MV alluded to, I'd much rather read about this than somebody's day being ruined because they started Keenum instead of McGloin.
