Endzone Is Near
Lots of people believe in the handcuff. But would Bryce Brown be any more valuable than a guy like Lamar Miller? Miller is far more talented IMO, but how do you know when to justify handcuffs? JW, bc a lot of guys seem to be talking about adding Brown during the Philly bye. LosGatosEnFuegos
If your starter was lost, would his handcuff put up better than RB3 numbers? Is that starter an every week lock to start for you, or would you benefit from a RB3 who you may swap in occasionally? I'm in a keeper league where I have AP, Charles, and Gore. I will never have a RB3 type on my roster because these guys aren't getting benched for anyone. But I will handcuff them if I have the roster space. If you have middling RBs, you're probably better off with an additional flex type RB.
BA Baracus
It depends on a lot of things. Do you own the starter? Is the handcuff capable of producing 80% of what the starter does? Is the starter injury prone? If yes to number 2 and either 1 or 3, then yeah, the cuff is better than an erratic guy like Miller IMO. In the case of Brown, I think you need to own McCoy to justify that.

May not be the right forum but oh well. My RBs are McCoy, Murray, Andre Brown and Miller...we can only roster 4 RBs.
MustOfBeenDrunk
I never handcuff in redrafts unless I can grab them in the 9th round or later , I always handcuff in dynasty's if the handcuff is a younger player waiting for his shot like in Seattle

BA Baracus
I hate to drop a guy like miller because he may be useful to an opponent, but he has been terrible and if your team looks like a contender then I think you should cuff McCoy with Brown. delusions of grandeur
Which will be better if your starter goes out? That is all that matters, and can't be answered further without becoming an advice forum question. However, RB3 does get the added bonus of having value no matter which of your starters goes out. Outside of that, its not a question you can answer generally.
