DMD
Must suck to be a moderately talented Senior entering the draft these days.

gilthorp
98 underclassmen, assuming 90% of them get drafted? That's why we'll see more and more UFA's making impacts in the future.
flemingd
98 underclassmen, assuming 90% of them get drafted? That's why we'll see more and more UFA's making impacts in the future. In 2013, only 52 of 73 were drafted, so 90% is a bit high. Must suck to be a moderately talented Senior entering the draft these days. Especially if you are a WR. Jared Abbrederis and Devin Street were probably the biggest WR names with no remaining eligibility, now we may not see them until day 3. BeeR
At least the Colts won't have to worry about blowing that #1 pick. Great move! I can see a LOT of trading going on for this draft too.
BeeR
Bortles seems to be edging past Bridgewater as the #1 to the Texans. I haven't seen enough of either to agree either way - anyone? Some even think they might take the "local favorite" Manziel, but I maintain that's ridiculous. He's just too risky.

The 3 possible 1s in my mind are Bridgewater, Clowney, and Manziel. My guess at this point would be Bridgewater, he seems to be the most polished passer out of them all. darin3
The Texans would be completely off their rockers if they took a QB at #1. No way. Maybe if Andrew Luck were in this draft. There are just too many questions surrounding the top-3 QBs in this draft. They should draft the best player available and grab a project QB in a later round... since they'll have no more question marks than Bortles/Bridgewater/Manziel. Clowney had a down year but the guy is a freakin' animal. Can you imagine trying to stop him on one end and Watt on the other? Unreal. And I wouldn't kick 'em outta bed for taking Watkins, either. Reunite him with Hopkins and you will have one of the best 1-2 WR punches in the game in a few years. Andre Johnson is getting long in the tooth. By the time he is ready to retire, Hopkins/Watkins will be ready to dominate. Personally I go with Clowney. Special athletes like that at premium positions only come around once every 3-4 years, if that. You don't pass up on that opportunity. BeeR
They're insane if they take Clowney or Manziel. I don't see O'Brien doing that. McDaniels would, but not this guy.

FWIW Mayock said this weekend that Clowney has "work ethic issues" that teams are concerned about, and he does"nt see him getting taken (I believe he said) in the top
