darin3
The buzz on the various SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio shows over the past few hours is.... what if Dallas wins in the afternoon? Philly will have nothing to play for. Does Foles sit? What about Jackson, Cooper and McCoy? My guess is Foles would play most of the game while Jackson/Cooper/McCoy would maybe play the first half, if any. But that could be way off. I honestly have no idea. I own McCoy and would be up poopoo creek without a paddle if in fact Dallas wins and the Eagles sit him. Now, yesterday Kelly said he would play them, but who knows if this is true... or how much they'd play.
Cowboyz1
They would be better off playing hard this week to stay sharp and sitting all their starters in week 17. They don't need their starters to beat the Cowboys. Rest up on a week 17 bye and get ready for their first playoff game.

That was my first thought... and maybe I'm succumbing to the donkeys that call in to these shows paranoia, but it has some merit. I'm going to be rooting for the Redskins, though. Oh, and another guy on one of the shows said your boy Bryant is going to have a HUGE game and Murray won't even be used this week. I tend to disagree with the latter. Big John
They neede to stay in full throttle even if the game is meaningless. It will haunt you in the playoffs if you don't.

This and the fact that it is a Prime Time game , a chance to pick up more viewers that will just change the channel if they sit starters going in , yes I believe they think about that stuff and how it will effect future scheduling of Prime Time games
stevegrab
There is also seeding on the line, if they lose to CHI and then win the division they'll could be the 4 seed, with CHI/GB the 3 seed. Also if they beat CHI it could help to keep them out of the playoffs (they could still bet in, but better chance of GB/DET with a CHI loss). I doubt the rest players the whole game. If they build a big lead maybe late in the game they might do it.
Gopher
I'm hoping they rest McCoy, but not Foles.
darin3
Just picked up Cutler in my goofy little 10-team work league. Why not. It'll be a fun SNF game to watch for sure.
zekez
If McCoy rests/exits early, who gets more playing time - Brown or Polk?
lennykravitz2004
What, if anything, in Chip Kelly's history suggests he'll pull anybody early or sit them? Any Oregon Ducks homers out there? What was he like in all of his pinball-score-blowouts there? If players get pulled or something, it'll be because the score is lopsided one way or the other, IMO. Chadman
Now there's talk about the Bears resting their starters if the Pack loses, and latest word is Rodgers is not playing. What a strange scenario with these teams coming down the stretch. I need the usual Forte performance and was toying with playing Jeffery considering the attractive passing matchup with the Eagles, despite Cutlers love of Marshall. Any local hints from Trestman other than his strange comment that really said little?

zekez
Re the Bears, would need Gb loss AND DET loss. If these happen, Trestman would very likely rest guys. I have Cutler and McCoy going so I'm doubly screwed.

I have Cutler and McCoy going so I'm doubly screwed. I think if both lose, Chicago would have more incentive to win because they could then clinch the division. They are already 1/2 game up on the Pack and 1 game up on the Lions. Edited December 20, 2013 by Def.
Delicious_bass
Agree with Def. above. From PFT... "CHICAGO BEARS Chicago clinches NFC North division with: 1) CHI win + DET loss or tie + GB loss"
Henry Muto
NFL screwed us by flexing this game to Sunday night and it was stupid you had New England at Baltimore I am pretty sure that been a fantastic game for Sunday night and it would not have screwed us in week 16.
Henry Muto
Both teams should want to be the 3 seed who really wants the 4 seed and a possible trip to Seattle in the divisional round? If your the 3 seed at least you know if you win the wildcard game you won't be going to Seattle for divisional round. The fact that Philly happens to play Dallas and Chicago plays GB next week complicates things further. If this game was never flexed to Sunday night none of this would matter...stupid NFL.
Henry Muto
The only way Chicago would rest players would be if both Detroit lost and Green Bay won. This would leave Chicago at 8-6 and GB at 8-6-1 so if Chicago won and was 9-6 or lost and was 8-7 it wouldn't matter for the division as they play each other in week 17 but it would matter for 3 vs 4 seed potential. If Detroit beats NYG as they should this would mean Chicago would have to play to win this week as Detroit holds tie breaker over them. So Chicago won't likely be resting anyone I would hope Detroit could beat NYG at home.

Chadman
Thanks for all the info and thoughts, guys. I'm facing a red hot team with wonderful match ups and will need all I can get.
zekez
Is Bryce Brown the backup to McCoy or is Polk?? I have McCoy and Brown, so I may be tempted to start brown if the situation warrants. Any chance Polk gets more touches on the event McCoy doesn't play?
