Big John
PIT blocks FG, then illegally bats the ball forward. Ruling is GB keeps the ball and automatic first down.

SNOWBOUND33
Refs blew it. Pitt had possesion and his knee was down.
BeeR
Stupid rules in the NFL? no way. PIT had possession, then committed the penalty. Should have been their ball, half the distance to the goal backwards for them.
kcmast
doesn't matter if his knee was down if nobody touched him. i don't remember seeing anyone touch him
SNOWBOUND33
doesn't matter if his knee was down if nobody touched him. i don't remember seeing anyone touch him I think there was contact. Regarless, the play should reviewable. Bad rule. The kick was blocked and Pitt had possesion.

irish
doesn't matter if his knee was down if nobody touched him. i don't remember seeing anyone touch him I believe it does. If Pitt has any possession of the ball, then laterals and there is a fumble that it batted forward, then it would've just been yardage penalized. However, since the refs dismissed the possession by the Steelers player, batting the ball forward gave the Packers automatic possession. Papajohn
Bad call and all, but why ever bat the ball forward in that spot?
