Coaching changes

So now the Browns will be writing checks to three head coaches in 2014 - Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski, and now Pettine.

Nothing new for the Browns. But technically they are not writing Chud any checks in 2014 because they bought out his contract (for $10 million) when he was fired.

Not sure what your point was, they were going to be hiring a new coach and paying him, it was just a matter of time.

Wow Jerry sure is making a lot of major changes for a guy who wasn't going to change anything.

Anybody else expect this to work out well?

eh..Joique Bell is a RFA. Linehans going to bring him to Dallas to share with Murray.

Draft will be all def. Ware reworks his deal to save some $. Hatcher gets the tag. Spencer comes back healthy. Life's good

Ah so what? The Cowboys are paying 3 Offensive Coordinators and 2 Defensive Coordinators and don't even have a Head Coach.

which is why I found it interesting. A lot of people around the country blaming Jones for creating more chaos. Apparently that's incorrect, maybe Jerry's learning..finally. Maybe not, time will tell

Boils down to how much you believe the article.

Oh and BTW Browns finally hired an OC, Kyle Shanahan, formerly announced yesterday.

Also heard that SEA DC Quinn told reporters after the SB that he was interested in the Browns HC job.

It couldn't hurt... plus, I'm guessing this tidbit had only a little bit to do with the hire. Chud and Pagano have a history. Good hire by the Colts.

The interesting part is that Chud was evidently on board with dealing Trent away.
