SF/SEA

I expect this game to be as close as the game in SF in week 14. It'll likely come down to who has the ball last. There was only 1 turnover for each team that game, so I'm not sure I expect more turnovers, but any more than that will play big in the outcome. Points are going to be at a premium with the two best defensive teams in the league going mano a mano.

Oh man, not sure how I feel about posting here since it's not the "OFFICIAL" thread ;)

It will be tight. The 9ers offense is getting hot, but the SEA offense doesn't seem to be doing the same. Their D still seems very stout though, SF's as well. CenturyLink will be a madhouse.

Any wagers on how many unsportsmanlike conduct penalties there will be this game? I'm looking forward to all the trash talk :)

You say the team that has the ball last but there is a very good chance that no points will be scored by either team on their last 4 or 5 possession !

If there's any team that can beat Seattle IN Seattle, I suppose it'd be the Niners.

The Niners' D is just nasty and they will get in Wilson's grill. And they have the beef up front to lock Lynch up a bit.

Of course the main issue will be SF's ability (or lack thereof?) to score on Seattle... and of course the whole homefield advantage thing. I think the Hawks are just too tough at home. It'll be close and somewhat of a lower-scoring affair.... I'll go with 24-20 Seattle.

I was really hoping the weather would be nastier than it appears it's going to be, just to mellow out the crowd a bit.

Seattle looks more beatable at home now than they've been in a while. NO, a team that is absolutey not suited to deliver a victory in a situation like what you're going to see in Seattle, fared much better this past week than they did before. And I was at the AZ game where they may have shown a blueprint for beating SEA in SEA. Basically, shut down Seattle's offense (which seems easier these days than it has been all year) and ugly up the the game to keep it close. SF uglies it up as well as anyone, so I certainly don't see a repeat of week 2. We're also far less easy to defend with Crabtree back. That is massive for Kaep whose worst part of his game is working through progressions. The more likely he is to find his 1st or 2nd option open, the better. Probably more so than for any QB who doesn't suck.

I'm a homer, so I'm only going to focus on the ways SF comes out with a W, but it's hard to get to boastful given what has happened to us there the last two times.

Nonetheless, SF 23- Sea 17, The game ends with Seattle unable to punch it in for the winning TD.

Gotta go 9er's in this one, unless Wilson finds a way to make play after play with his feet and/or some

20 plus yard passes. I just do not think Seattle can score enough to win here.

This will be a HUGH battle of field position, both early on in the first half as well as from the 10 min mark of the 4th quarter. I see this game coming down to a big punt downed inside the 10 late or a big-time punt return setting up the game winning FG.

SF 16 Sea 13

You guys are forgetting that most important factor. The 49ers are scared Tacoless of the crowd and that stadium, and it will be louder tomorrow than it has been in any of their previous meetings. It is going to take about 1.5 minutes for Kaepernick to get that lost puppy look that stays on his face the whole time his body sets foot inside that stadium. The 49ers essentially have zero chance. The only thing that could make this game competitive is a special teams return or two.

Not sure if this was officially declared the official Official OFFICIAL game thread but...

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

Wont' be around the board today as I'll be downtown getting drunk watching the game at a bar screaming my head off at the Sea defense to take Kaep's head off. :)

fwiw, in his last two games in Seattle Kaepernick is 32-64 371 yard 1TD, 4 INTs with 16 rushes for 118 yards. And in those two games the 49ers are 5-23 (21.7%) on 3rd downs and their longest conversion wasa 3rd & 7.

today:

19/29/245/1TD/1INT Passing

8/68 Rushing
