keggerz
Prediction: 31-20 Denver I've got a huge Manning stat, but for it to have any teeth the Broncos will need to win this game. I'll post it a bit later.
electricrelish
All three of Peyton Manning's Super Bowl apperances have been for teams with a horse mascot.
keggerz
All three of Peyton Manning's Super Bowl apperances have been for teams with a horse mascot. Nope, this is a comparative stat to other SB winners. It's big, it really is...or I should say will be if he wins. keggerz
If Peyton Manning and the Broncos win the Super Bowl today, Manning will have gone 2,555 days (7 seasons) between Super Bowl wins. That would be the longest span of time between consecutive SB wins in NFL history. The 2nd longest span is 2,191 days (6 seasons) by Roger Staubach. The longest span between any Super Bowl wins for a QB is 2,926 days (8 seasons)and belongs to Joe Montana from when he won his first SB to his last. keggerz
Here are some 3rd down conversion numbers (think I may have posted them in another thread before) Seattle D (including playoffs): Allowed a 3rd down conversion rate of 34.3 By down and distance: 3rd & 1 thru 3rd & 4: 51.7% 3rd & 5 thru 3rd & 7: 43.6% 3rd & 8+: 12.6% (Only 3rd & 11+ they allowed one conversion in 40 attempts) Numbers do not include 1st downs by penalty (off the top of my head there were like 10 or 11) Broncos O Had a 3rd down conversion % of 46.8 By down and distance: 3rd & 1 thru 3rd & 4: 65.2% 3rd & 5 thru 3rd & 7: 34.3% 3rd & 8+: 37.0%

Tripleshot
We are all going to be reminded how defense wins championships, how in the previous big games where elite defenses faced elite offenses, the defenses won the majority of the time. You are all going to lose the historic Manning-induced boner that caused so many splooges this season. So get a towel, wipe off your keyboards, and admit defense still wins championships. Well, that, or play the "Seattle's secondary cheats" card again, while ignoring that there's little difference between receivers picking DB's and DB's hitting "defenseless" receivers(except the defense gets called for it, while the offense doesn't). And I'll admit, there may be something to the Seattle cheats bullcrap - I hear there's a billionaire Seattle booster that pays all the Seahawk players. Well, fwiw, the Seahawks have said that they commit DPI knowing they'll get away with it more often than not (that's paraphrased)
keggerz
That's a first in SB history.
Tripleshot
I get it. If the Broncos win, it's because Manning is God. If the Seahawks win, it's because thy cheated. It's just like Bettis winning the Super Bowl in his last season in his home town because it was unacceptable if he lost.

keggerz
Seattle has scored three times to Denver's zero scores but Denver is still only down one score.
Tripleshot
Exactly. I thought it would be the Seattle defense allowing FGs instead of TDs. The Seahawks need a TD here after the INT to add to the shellshock factor.

Team Archer
Manning is going to have Andrew Luck syndrome. I want the Broncos to lose but Wilson is going to turnover the ball which will help Manning come back

keggerz
Denver has no chance. They are gonna get rolled at this point This is exactly how the game couldn't go for Denver to start the game. I agree with you, at this point I'd be highly shocked if Seattle doesn't win the game.
