boltnlava
Just sayin' He was charged today- http://www.cnn.com/2...n-sharper-case/ Los Angeles (CNN) -- Former NFL star Darren Sharper was charged in California on Friday in the alleged drugging and rape of two women, one in October and the other last month, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said. The five-time Pro Bowl player who became an NFL Network analyst is charged with two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, the prosecutor's office said. Sharper, 38, who played defensive back for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints during his 14-year career, appeared Friday in a Los Angeles County court, but his arraignment was postponed until Thursday, said spokesman Ricardo Santiago of the district attorney's office. Sharper was arrested January 17 and released on $200,000 bail, but prosecutors will seek next Thursday to raise his bail to $10 million, Santiago said. If finding yet another excuse to bash the Saints makes you feel better then by all means... Using something this deplorable and totally unrelated to the team other than the fact that he spent the last 2 years of his 13 year career with the Saints is a bit classless but, hey, the Saints deserve everything they get right? Even being lumped in with what looks to be a serial rapist. Congrats on such a fantastic post. Edited February 19, 2014 by rajncajn

sausagekingchi
I see you are a wee bit touchy when it comes to the Saints. You react as if it is almost a personal attack on you, which of course would be utterly ridiculous since you are not part of the Saints organization as far as I know. I wasn't bashing the Saints organization in general anyways, but instead felt that a guy like Darren Sharper would be the type of guy who is capable of something like this. Both situations required acts of malicious violence. A person who is capable of performing one act of premeditated violence with the intention of serious injury against another human is capable of doing it again and again. Regardless of your feelings about the Saints bounty scandal, relating what Sharper has been accused of to anything to do with the Saints is pretty misguided and yeah, I do take it a little personally that anyone would associate the team I root for with anything related to this. Especially given the fact that Sharper barely spent more than one season with the Saints. If anything, you'd be more in line relating this to the Love Boat ordeal. Also, I've never seen or heard of Sharper being considered as a ring leader of anything, not sure where you're getting that info from. Seahawks21
It is all Sean Payton's fault. The man needs to be kicked out of the league for goodness sake.

Also, I've never seen or heard of Sharper being considered as a ring leader of anything, not sure where you're getting that info from. You are missing my point in that a guy who is willing to intentionally hurt another player for money is not right in the head and more likely to be the type of person who would do other disgusting and pathetic acts as a person. Which lead me to not be all that surprised by these latest accusations against him. The leaders of this type of thing are the guys who run the locker room. Veterans like Sharper and Vilma are the guys who can give this type of practice a green light (it doesn't matter if a player of Sharper's stature was there for one year or ten - everyone respects/listens to them). If you paid attention to any of the many quotes and interviews done by Sharper in regards to bounty-gate there is absolutely no doubt he was heavily involved during that season. I won't address your personal attachment to a team that has no personal attachment to you as I think my initial statement says it all. Def.
Hate to say it, but many of your post seem either combatant or that your fishing for an argument. Like it or not, you insinuated that his involvement with the Saint's previous drama has a correlation with his rape charges. It is easy to see how that type of comment would spark a negative reaction, which again is what I think you are after most times.

No one was required to respond to what I posted. Someone did because they thought I was taking a shot at their team, which I wasn't. I'll again point out how silly it is for someone to take a comment like this personal since you have absolutely nothing to do with them outside of watching them a handful of times throughout the year for a few hours at a time. I was however taking a shot at Darren Sharper and the type of person he is. He has a history of being a low-life (taking/paying money to try and intentionally injure someone makes you a low-life in my book)and I was simply saying because of that I'm not surprised he would be capable of doing something like this.
