IDP Scoring Advice needed

Hey all,

Through out the years (12 + to be exact) we have done mostly traditional IDP scoring:

Tackle: 1 point

Assisted Tackle .25 (typical is .50 I think)

Pass Defended: 1 point

Interception: 3 points

Fumble: 3 points

Sack: 3 points

Safety 2 Points

I've got an owner who is bitching about the extend of which defensive players can make or break your team. So I thought about nerfing defensive stats a bit but I found that as soon as I did kickers stuck out like a sore thumb. That got me thinking about the fairness of having a player who is on the field one play outscoring (by and large) Defensive players who play all 4 downs. I guess I'll ask what scoring rules do you all use for IDP?

Huddle scoring we use for our articles is:

solo tackle (2), assisted tackle (1), sack (3), forced or recovered fumble (3), interception (3) and pass defended (1)

This is normal scoring for idp. IMO your top LBs should be getting enough points to be drafted in the second rd.

Due to supply the 2nd round is early. But IDP scoring should make them more than afterthoughts.

It also depends on demand. 10 man league that starts 2 LBs would have much less demand then a 16 man league that starts 4 LBs. This is the same reason RBs are usually drafted over a QB. You only need to start 1 QB (in most leagues) vs 2 or 3 RBs.
