Mustangt125
Alright I did a couple mocks today, let me know what you think. Team 1----------------------------------------------------Team 2 3rd Overall Pick----------------------------------- 10th Overall Pick 8) Philip Rivers ------------------QB------------------8) Tom Brady 1) Jamaal Charles---------------RB------------------2) Alfred Morris 2) Le'Veon Bell------------------RB------------------ 3) Andre Ellington 3) Randall Cobb---------------- WR------------------4) Vincent Jackson 4) Victor Cruz------------------ WR------------------ 5) Julian Edelman 5) Bishop Sankey--------------- Flex----------------- 6) Bishop Sankey 9) Jordan Reed -----------------TE ------------------ 1) Jimmy Graham 13) Bucs D/ST------------------ D/ST-----------------15) Browns D/ST 16) Jay Feely---------------------K ------------------ 16 Alex Henery 6) Kendall Wright-----------------BE------------------ 7) Jeremy Maclin 7) Riley Cooper------------------ BE------------------ 9) Riley Cooper 10) LaGarrette Blount-----------BE------------------ 10) Khiry Robinson 11) Mike Evans------------------ BE------------------ 11) LaGarrette Blount 12) Jarrett Boykin----------------BE------------------ 12) Jarrett Boykin 14) Johnny Manziel---------------BE------------------ 13) Brandon LaFell 15) Charles Clay------------------BE------------------ 14) Brandon Cooks I would probably need to see Sankey go in week 1 before I was starting him, but he fell to me in both 5th rounds. I have never taken Jimmy Graham before so wanted to see how it came out. I think both are strong squads actually. Got Tom Brady in the 8th round was huge value, I thought. I also got LaFell who they signed, cuz their WRs were poor outside of Edelman. I got Blount for team 1 to backup Bell. Took fliers on Sankey, Evans, Manziel, Robinson, and Cooks. Thoughts? Which team is better? Edited July 18, 2014 by Mustangt125
Dolphin_Akie
I prefer team 1, getting Charles and Bell is particularly good. Jordan Reed is one my favourite TEs coming into this year, very effective when healthy last year and that offence will rely on TEs more under the new scheme. Both WRs are excellent for where they are drafted so its really an advert for taking a QB later on as Rivers is still a good option.
ImNotSoIgnorant
I agree, team 1 is the better team. Though I think you should've taken one more RB on each team for back ups instead of that many WRs. RBs are hard to get where as a fill in WR is a lot easier. osu1322
I'm assuming a 1qb 2rb 2wr 1te and 1 flex line up. I like team 1 better mainly cause great rb1 and rb2. Bell and Charles make for a solid core to the team. The unstarted WRs also look strong, Evans, Cooper, and Wright on your bench? I'm sure not all of them will pop but I feel at least one will if not all of them. I'm high on Reed as well he isn't Graham but I saw flashes of talent last year. Team 2 seems alright but Brady could be falling off. He still doesn't have any really good WRs and Gronk might play this year... we hope and not get injured.. we hope.... Ellington is a nice snag but I have a fear he's not going to get enough touches to be effective. both teams aren't that bad and were these in 10 or 12 man drafts??? Mustangt125
Both leagues are 12 man snake drafts. I only took Brady cuz his stats were still similar to those around him despite it being a down year for him and I got him in 8th round, great value. Last year Wright was a catch machine, I play in .5 PPR so that's huge.
osu1322
I understand the value of Brady but there is so little talent around him. I'd much rather draft Cutler (who is going in the same range as Brady) He has so much more talent around him in Marshall, Jeffery, Forte, and Bennett.
