CowboysDiehard
Hey guys, we had some last minute churning among owners and it looks like will only have 11. Has anyone ever had to go with 11 in a league, and how did you manage the schedule? I figure the first step is to do away with the divisions, then schedule double headers for one team per week against the team with a null opponent for the week? Thoughts? Note: The draft is not online, that's not possible with this group.
Delicious_bass
I just checked the schedule packages in MFL and went back to another site I used to use and neither have anything pre-set for 11. Someone else may know of one or may know of a manual work-around. Is going with an all-play format an option in a pinch?
CowboysDiehard
Right now he's leaning toward ditching divisions, and going with the team who doesn't have an opponent going against the league average for the week.
Big Country
A few options: Go with an All Play schedule Change to a total points league (just throwing it out as an option, doubt it will be a legit consideration) Go with an 11 week regular season, one team with a bye per week (this is only 11 team schedule the FBG has on their site) Multiple double headers per week to balance a schedule out over however many weeks you want your regular season to be. (would require manual set up) Set up a balanced 12 team schedule - set the 12th team to be the leagues weekly average so whomever is scheduled against that team has t obeat the weekly average that week to ge a win That's what I have off the top of my head. CowboysDiehard
All play...what's that?
Delicious_bass
Rather than go H2H against one other team each week, you go against all the other teams each week. A monster week and you'd be 10-0 against the league. All play record accumulates through the season and (at the end) the team with the best record is your winner/#1 seed/etc. There are different ways you can determine the champion but the basic idea is you're battling all the other teams each week. Lets you roll with any number of owners as there are no divisions and its a totally fair/balanced schedule as its pretty much a battle royale each week. CowboysDiehard
Gotcha, thanks. Also, commish reported a guppy sighting...looks like we'll have 12 after all. Thanks for the replies, guys!
mitpdub
Another option would be to have a 12th team based on ADP+fantasy sharks(if you use mfl) have the computer auto pick based on ADP and fantasy sharks pick the weekly roster. No trades or pickups (unless injury), co commissioner needs to verify the lineup in weeks this team plays the commissioners team. This is not ideal but a last resort if the 11 team schedules can't work. Best bet is to try to fill the spot with another team.
