euphy
Predictions for breakout/bust/sleeper... let's go! Pick 1 guy for each category and shortly explain why. Breakout - Andre Ellington, if he can stay healthy... hell be a top 5 RB. Seriously, you think Dwyer is going to get anything but short yardage touches? Bust (guys going round 1 or 2 only) - Adrian Peterson - yes, he's got Norv. But he's also got alot of miles on that 30 year old body. Sleeper (guys ADP of 9 or later) - Knowshon... let's face it, he's being overlooked and Lamar Miller sucks. Draft him late, and you will be rewarded with a top 10 RB. BA Baracus
Breakout: Michael Floyd becomes a top 12 WR Bust: Jimmy Graham doesn't dominate the TE position enough to warrant a 1st round pick Sleeper: Greg Jennings remains the WR1 in MIN (and WR2 in fantasy) because Patterson still can't run a full route tree.
DanTheMan_5
Breakout: +1 on Michael Floyd. Fitz will still draw best corners, and they have a soft schedule for WR's. Bust: Jamaal Charles. Between their offensive line and his hard mileage from last season, he will disappoint all who drafted him. close second Demarco Murray. Just a gut feeling. Sleeper: Carlos Hyde. Gore finally breaks down and Hyde runs away with the starting gig and never looks back.
rattsass
Sounds reasonable BA. So it is probably way off. I think we'll all be sleepers by mid-season if the zebras keep up the laundry-fest.
eataylor87
Breakout (3): Andre Ellington, Michael Floyd, Rashad Jennings --- think all finish Top 10 at their position, especially in PPR or half PPR Bust (3): Jamaal Charles, Marshawn Lynch, Matt Forte --- inevitable that there are Top 10s that don't repeat. They have the most risk IMO Sleeper (2): Carlos Hyde & Devonta Freeman --- think both end up being starters by year's end due to the age of the guy in front of them. Think Zac Stacy/Le'Veon Bell ... might not give anything for first 5 weeks ... but could carry your team if patient. Joebirds55
Breakout: michael floyd. 3rd year in the league, has every tool you'd want in a wr. I think he puts it all together this year. Bust: montee ball. Top 5 potential is there but also the potential of getting benched for not protecting peyton. A few missed blocks and I could see his production dropping big time Sleeper: Darren sproles. Deseans targets must go somewhere and I'm a firm believer in chip knowing the best way to utilize sproles. Surprised at how low he is ranked even in ppr. I see him as a top 15 potential in ppr. loaf
Breakout is Mike Floyd. At least my fantasy team's rely on it. Bust will be Jamaal. 19 TDs last season always has me running the other way. Sleeper James Jones
Shorttynaz
Breakout: Justin Hunter - probably could be considered a sleeper as late as I've seen him going, but this 2nd year WR is drawing great reviews from a lot of analysts (both fantasy and real NFL analysts) - hands, route running, favorable schedule, etc. Bust: Jamaal Charles - lost more than half his o-line, one of their tackles is hurt, lackluster passing game (in my opinion) - I'd be afraid to take this guy at the top of my draft - glad I'm not in that position. Sleeper: Khiry Robinson - In my opinion, he's really just competing with just Pierre Thomas - a guy who really couldn't claim the job when he had the opportunity. I know Ingram is in the mix too - but I think his ship has sailed - he's looked good in preseason, they may ride that horse early on - but they've seldomly used him up to this point. High powered offense who will likely be playing with the lead quite a bit. I really like this kid to shine this season - may not happen right away, but he'll be relevant most of the season (IMO) Edited August 26, 2014 by Shorttynaz
Capt. Stanky
Breakout: --Ladarius Green SD has to find ways to get this matchup nightmare the ball. I see him splitting wide more than 50% of the time, alla jimmy Graham. Reach on him a tad early and back him up with a Heath Miller. You could have a top TE on your hands in the later rounds. Bust: --Gio Bernard I am a Bengals fan, and this is just a hunch. He still has top tier RB 2 upside in PPR, but I think he's going way too early in drafts. I would not be surprised in the least if Jeramy Hill ends up being option 1A to Gio's 1B. Sleeper: --Mark Ingram I am not buying the Kihry Robinson hype. Ingram has been their best back in preseason and it hasn't been close. He should also have an expanded role in the passing game. He's the 3rd back selected from NO in most drafts, and he could very well lead NO RB's in ff pts. He's in a contract year taboot. Edited August 26, 2014 by Capt. theirish
Breakout year: T.Y. Hilton - I know that last year was somewhat of a coming out party, but I believe he will be a top 10 this year. With Wayne and Nicks taking away coverage from him. I think Luck and Hilton will connect alot this year and we know how much IND is going to have to throw this year with that terrible running game. Bust: Alshon Jeffrey - Partly feeling and the belief that Cutler is going to be throwing to Marshall alot this year and won't be looking towards Jeffrey as much. Could be completely wrong, but won't draft in any leagues this year, just better options where he is being drafted. Sleeper: Golden Tate - With Calvin getting doubled teamed and having all of the options across the field will open things up for Tate who just doesn't drop passes. With the volume that the lions will be throwing this year, Tate can be top 15 - 20 player. I think Stafford will just begin to trust Tate as much as calvin and he will become even more valuable as the season progresses.
darin3
Predictions for breakout/bust/sleeper... let's go! Pick 1 guy for each category and shortly explain why. Ellington - so he's gone from "this guy is on a strict touch limit" to top-5 potential? Quite a turnaround. And there's another RB on the roster not named Dwyer that will also eat into his work. Do not sleep on Stepfan Taylor. Peterson - huge buyer in PPR.... this guy may have a career year in terms of receptions, which could pump his PPR value up even more. Moreno - a top-10 RB on the Dolphins? With two other RBs they've committed to getting touches? Sorry, don't see it. --- Breakout - Devonta Freeman: S-Jax is toast and 'Quizz is "just a guy". I think Freeman will end up as a solid RB2 by Week 8. Bust - Doug Martin: Even with Charles Sims shelved, I just don't buy Martin as a RB1. Sleeper - Stepfan Taylor: Already discussed, I think this guy could really eat into Ellington's carries this year. The Cards are going to run and let their defense win games for them. No way Ellington is a 20+ carry per game guy. Taylor could get you 50ish yards per game and the occasional score. In the right matchup, I'd feel nice with him in as a flex or even RB2 in very deep leagues.
SecondString
Breakout - Jordan Reed (stays healthy become a top 3 TE) & Randall Cobb (becomes Aaron Rodgers go-to guy and easily the #1 receiver in Titletown) Bust - Marshawn Lynch Sleeper - Marvin Jones - will be huge for that offense when he returns / I also like Khiry Robinson...Ingram sucks, and Pierre is nothing special, has had his chances / one more...Travis Kelce
blips
Bust: Alshon Jeffrey - Partly feeling and the belief that Cutler is going to be throwing to Marshall alot this year and won't be looking towards Jeffrey as much. Could be completely wrong, but won't draft in any leagues this year, just better options where he is being drafted. I don't see this one. I'm a Chicago fan and I feel this is the year that Alshon passes Marshall. He just has been getting better every year and the doesn't have the dropsies like Marshall. They are a great tandem but I think Jeffrey edges out Marshall this year. I think Forte takes a hit fantasy wise because the Bears defense is so bad that they will be playing catch up all year. Thews40
Breakout: Brandin Cooks... lives up to the hype. Bust: Half of the top 12 ADP RB's. Sleeper: Jermaine Kearse Seattle WR Worth a last pick on potential TD's. Edited August 27, 2014 by Thews40
Football Follies
Breakout: Brandin cooks - hype is real, good hands and killer speed Bust: demarco Murray - linehan likes multiple rbs and he has injury history Sleeper: Rashad Jennings - coughlin likes to ride the vets, Andre Williams has brick hands and this offense want short passes early and often. Will outperform his ADP easily
davesworld23
My Breakout player has to be Ben Tate. Not a top 10 guy but I think he lands somewhere around 15-20 *also like Foster, Freeman, Cooks & Gates (for 1 more year) Bust, to me, has to be Murray; I just think he gets injured again mid season and someone will grab Dunbar and make a run in their playoffs. *also down on Gerhart, Sankey, Green & Hyde (1 year too soon on those last 2, Sankey might take longer) My sleeper was going to be Stedman Bailey in the 2nd half but with Bradford done, I'm over him and Stephan Taylor is who I think can shine this year My other favorite sleepers include Riddick (as soon as Bush visits the glue factory again) Hunter is going to connect with Locker like Manning used to with Harrison (oh and Locker will stay healthy and put up 4k/25TD) & I like Mathews, but something tells me not until the 2nd half Edited August 27, 2014 by davesworld23

jpc17
Breakout - Brandin Cooks.. Speed, mobility, good QB, he has everything he needs to succeed. Bust - Eddie Lacy.. just have this bad feeling about him this year. Sleeper - Travis Kelce.. I actually had to post asking about him on here but after doing more research on him, the more I see him as a strong sleeper TE.
Tripleshot
I've been thinking a while before making my choices. They are: Breakout - obviouly this has to be Taz's mom here. She's so fat she'd break out of size 4XL stretch pants. Bust - I nominate myself here because I've got bigger man boobs than most busty female porn stars. I think I need a brossiere. Sleeper - anyone in Prime Time who makes us wait hours before they log in and make their next pick in our online draft. This only applies outside of normal working hours, mind you, but between 6pm and 7am, picks have better be made with minimal wait. Stay up until the draft is done. That's what coffee is for! Papajohn
Breakout: Davonte Freeman or Carlos Hyde depending on which old RB finally breaks down. Bust: Arian Foster since I don't expect him to play anything close to a full season due to injuries. Sleeper: Harry Douglas, Kenbrell Thompkins and a healthy Ahmad Bradshaw for a couple of weeks. BA Baracus
This will be Alshon's 3rd season, so he only had one year in which he was better than the prior year. So while it is technically correct to say he "has been getting better every year", it implies more of a trend in performance than actually exists. I don't think he will bust, he is far too talented, but he's not passing Marshall this year and possibly not next year either. Alshon had significantly better games with McCown than with Cutler. With Cutler under center, Marshall will WR1a until his athleticism drops off, which I think is a good 2 yrs off. Both should be good for WR1 duty in 12 team fantasy, but I will still be taking Marshall over Alshon 10 times out of 10.

Yeah I was heckeled for taking Marshall over Jeffery...I went on to say that McCown fit Trestmans system better as he hit the own receiver without favortism...Cutler still looks for Marshall first and looks to feed his ego. .. but I was crazy for saying that apparently:lol: Edit: it wrapped up with someone saying they would give me $1000 if Marshall had more catches and yards than Jeffery...
