Wiseman155
I will try to make this to the point. Three weeks ago, as our Dynasty League was getting ready for the draft, I reached out to a manager that owned both Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas. In a league where only one TE can be played at a time, I thought it didn't make sense for him to keep both players and felt that maybe I could negotiate a trade. He never responded to any of my inquiries. So, after the draft I sent him a couple trade offers for Thomas. They were a bit low, but I was really just trying to get a response from him. Last week he rejected both offers and issued two new offers. 1. Jimmy Graham and James Starks for Le'Veon Bell and Tyler Eifert 2. Jimmy Graham for Shane Vereen I obviously accepted the 2nd offer. Now it is a bit uneven. But he couldn't even play Jimmy, so in my mind his value was decreased in any trade negotiations. He was making out by getting a starting RB who catches the ball (PPR) who he could actually play. A day later, he sends a mass email to the entire league saying that I trade raped him and to Veto the trade (majority rules). I am a very reasonable person and generally kind. If he had reached out to me saying he didn't want the trade, I would have probably been more than happy to cancel the trade and continue negotiations. But he didn't go that route. In his mass email, he puts out there that any offer that is better than mine he would be happy to accept (as long as the original trade is vetoed). Two days ago the trade is vetoed. Now instead of coming back to me and trying to negotiate a fairer agreement (I did email and tell him that I was upset with veto decision and all he had to do was contact me), he avoids me completely and strikes a new deal with another manager which is fairly similar. Gio Bernard for Jimmy Graham. Now I am not saying that this trade is the same as my original trade, but it isn't exactly even either (especially in PPR). Maybe Gio was ranked higher than Vereen before the season. I would think they are closer now after one week. But that isn't what bothers me the most. Its that he offered me the original deal, asked for a veto from entire league, and then avoided communicating with me at all. So, am I being unreasonable? I feel like I was slapped in the face. Completely disregarded and treated like dirt. I am trying to not use offensive language if anyone can tell. Is it unreasonable for me to tell the commissioner I want out? The worst part about this is that this is a league of Fraternity alumnae. I know the commissioner can't do anything. I feel at least that the other manager shouldn't have been able to trade Graham after asking for a veto on his own trade. The fact of the matter is there is nothing I can do but leave in protest. Apologies for the long winded story.
Grits and Shins
I didn't read it all ... but allow league wide votes on trades is silly. I am not interested in having a bunch of other guys manage my team for me. When you allow vote you get these messes.
Trojanmojo
You got screwed. HE made the offer that you accepted. He trade raped himself. Then he did it again with Bernard.

The deal looks unfair but the guy is in a bit of a bind because there's no point having Thomas/Graham sat on your bench if you can improve elsewhere. Totally agree, had a similar thing in our league last year when people moaned about trade being unfair but the guy who supposedly got "trade raped" ended up winning on the deal massively. Only thing you can do is get the league to scrap voting on trades next off-season but doubt they would based on this.
Donutrun Jellies
sounds like Bernard owner saw your trade pending, complained to the graham owner that he'd have given more, they colluded to cancel your deal to make their's possible. Bogus. He proposed it, he should live with it. If deal 1 got denied, deal 2 should as well, and your deal reinstated and approved.
Sharpie
You can be miffed but it is what it is if the league rules allow or don't prohibit. People are people. Trade veto by league vote is no good.

It shouldn't bother me so much. He is a piece of crap. But it does.
flemingd
Yes, it should bother you, but that's what you get for playing in a league that vetoes trades.

BA Baracus
Votes on trades are lame and that guy is a douchy little bitch. I'd probably get outta that league.
flemingd
You should have immediately responded to his email specifying that HE was the one that offered it. If it was such a bad trade, that's on HIM for offering, not on you for accepting the offer, and a veto isn't appropriate.
IrishPride
all Veto's do is foster collusion, especially in a dynasty league, that's the nature of the beast. Alliances are made by stupid people that are your friends. Each trying to convince each other that their offer is better........Trades are usually lopsided one way or the other because each team has different needs and people have different levels of integrity. But here's the funny part "You cant trade rape the willing?" and every league has one.
Scorcher
I think you should revise your original post and send out a league wide e-mail as to what happened in the entire transaction. At least then the other guys in your league will know what it is like to deal with him. The only reason most anyone would take two strong tight ends would be for trade bait. By taking Thomas and Graham he obviously wasted a pick considering where they would fall in the draft and only one TE can be played at a time. Don't put any emotion into it just tell the facts, then let it go and enjoy your season. At the very least people will shy away from him when it comes to trades. He sounds like a whiney-ass bitch. Also if you do this and he responds with some kind of emotional accusatory e-mail, ignore it. dfv87
He proposed the deal... you cannot claim to be taken. Did he disclose to the league that fact? You response should have been simple, Why did you propose the deal if I am "trade raping" you? Using veto to gain a better deal is a Biatch play after you greed to your own proposal. Tell the league you want out.
stevegrab
Agree with the others, allowing league wide votes on trades is bad in the first place. And the guy is a punk ass bitch for offering you a trade, and then claiming he was raped when you accepted it.

Balzac
This is possibly the most ridiculous/egregious veto scenario I've seen to date. Did the rest of the league know that this guy offered the deal? Now, you can't expect owners to be anything less than self-dealing when you give them veto rights, but it's straight up asinine what this guy did. Wiseman155
Good news and bad news. Bad news I already did his significant other in college. It would be kind of repetitive to do it again. That's not me. Good News: commish is reviewing. I talked to commish and said that all he really did was be a jerk. Only thing he actually did wrong was abuse league vote and made it a biased reason to enter into a bidding war instead of what it's meant for which is the ruling on trade fairness. Thanks for the support Gents. Will update you on the decision.

He whined and got his way. Never allow the league to vote on trades. It should only be between the owners. You win some, you lose some. What a loser. davesworld23
I would email the commissioner and say you don't think he should be allowed to trade him at all now. I'm sure you mentioned he proposed it to you and you accepted but I would contend that if Vereen was not enough for him then Gio shouldn't be enough
