What is that? The ability to beat bad teams early in the season on their way to their traditional 2nd half collapse?

Did anybody notice that the Eagles won yesterday with their back up QB?

I hear the Redskins also won recently with their 3rd string QB. And the Browns are 5-3 with somebody that should have never started a game (according to the Manzealots).

Not sure there won't be a second half collapse again this year but it won't be Romo's fault, at least not directly. If it happens it'll be because Romo's not playing and too many injuries to their defense.

The Eagles won with their backup QB but they already had a lead against a Texans team that lost both corners and Foster to injury. I have zero faith in Sanchez going forward.

The Cowboys had. 10-0 lead. And I have maintained that they find ways to lose games in November ... and this is just another way.

Yeah I did, but Fools had already gotten them a lead and Houston's wheels were coming off too. All Dirty had to do was mop up and not give a way the lead.

Correct me if I am wrong ... but didn't the Cowboys have a 10-0 lead after the first quarter?

Sanchez had 200 yards and 2 TDs ... that is a bit more than "mop up duty"

Ok, you're right Grits. Dirty is better then Weeden and they were able to win and we couldn't. We suck, here comes the 8-8 you always predicted. Time to pack up the Cowboys jersey, slide into the lazy-boy and tarry for the inevitable. I give grits, you win. No matter how well they do from here on out, I will always assume it is a mirage and just around the corner is a pile of $hit that I am sure to step in, slip and fall on my a$$ so everyone point and laugh "Look there's the Cowboys homer slipping on the yearly pile of $hit again". Thanks for straightening me out.

Is this a new entry into this forum's hugh book of moranic lingo or was it already in play?

Great point on topic. Your wit is so incredibly sharp one must wonder what else you have time for? Do you ever stay topic, or is your wit just too much to contain?

Not sure what's up with posting here, as it seems there's some background software running slowing it all down. My PC won't work with the quote feature and I have to cut and paste it all from Word. Anyone else have his problem?

Sorry Thews, no offense intended. I was pointing out what appeared to be a new huddlism(hugh, moran, mustofbeen, etc.). I view those in an almost sacred yet lighthearted manner. I think domed sounds worthy of future use, as in "My Seahawks have been domed by their lack of a pass rush". I do post off topic a lot, but only because things sometimes get a little too serious around here.

I didnt see a game thread so I guess this is as good of a thread as any to post in. Great win for the Boys last night. Nice to see them nut up in the 2nd half. The game winning drive was as perfect as you can get. Romo had enough time to do his taxes on 2 of those throws. I wont proclaim us world beaters as the Philly games coming up will determine a great deal but I will say that last night was the type of game we traditionally would lose when down 11 at the half or when needing a game winning drive with 2 mins left. I still always feel impending doom just because I am battle scarred from so many painful losses in the last 10 years but I love the confidence this team plays with and I friggin love that O line

Well well well. First of all, I have to give props to the Giant for coming out and playing hard. I had a feeling that they were going to be a handful. That kid Beckham made a sick grab and gave the Cowboys fits all night. However, this game came down to our O line and Slip. I have to admit, when the Giants drove 93 yards for a touchdown to take the lead with 3 minutes left to play, while converting 3rd and long at will, the voice in my head was saying "here we go". I just could not shake the feeling that the Cowboys were going to find a way to lose this game, but NO. This Cowboys team came out and said "not today". This Cowboys team came out and calmly drove the field behind an O line that frankly made the Giants defenders look like a child trying to hit a grown man with a hand on his forehead as the kid just flails away without hope of connecting. Watching Slip stand back in the pocket for 8 seconds then 9 seconds on the final drive was just amazing. JPP was pushed to the ground twice during the same play as Smith stood over him as if to say "where you going"! I don't think I have ever seen such a total and complete domination by an O line on a final drive like the Cowboys line dominated the Giant front four. It made me think about that commercial where the guy is falling off the building while the song plays "I've got ALLL the time in the world". It was a perfect ending and a perfect way to prove to all Cowboys fans that this team is different.

This team finds a way to win. This team mauls teams all game long up front. This team doesn't panic when they get down. This team wins games they are suppose to win regardless of how much fight the lesser team has in them. Unlike the last decade, this team has the will, the talent and the poise to get the job done. Any other year, the defense breaks down and gives Eli a big play to tie or win the game on that last drive.

Game Balls

Slip. El Matador came out and played like the clutch QB he is. Put the ball in the money all game long and protected the rock. Last drive was vintage Romo and showed once again that he is one of the best when it comes to 4th quarter game winning drives.

Rolando McClain. Mac was a monster in the middle. When he hits a guy their forward progress is finished. That last play to stop the Giants short of the first to end the game was awesome. I don't think any LB we have had that I can remember makes that play.

Beasley. Two big plays for the little guy. Just another weapon.

Murray. Demo just plugs along stacking up 100+ yard games like they were normal.

This Cowboys team is something special and Thursday should be a great game and a chance to take control of the division.

I am a bit worried about this defense holding up against the likes of GB or Denver but I like our chances with the O line and running game we have and Slip playing the way he is. I think we can hang with any offense in the league but I am concerned if this defense can get a key stop when it counts.

Go Cowboys.

I think this is a pretty fair assessment. I was thinking the exact opposite after eli's 90 yard drive to take the lead with 3 minutes left. Said that is just too much time, our D is playing like a$$hats and we can't touch Romo today, and JJP was giving it all he had. Solid win. I think the eagles will have a tough time winning the division the way the cowboys are playing. All I got left for the season is OBJ, but I'll take it. Looking forward to next season and eli and OBJ having some more chemistry if that is possible.

I always find it funny when the viagra commercial says "If an erection lasts for more than 4hrs, seek medical attention"...hmmmm seems to me the female better be getting some medical attention!!
