Shorttynaz
He's gonna be 1-n-done in Tampa..
sksmith
He might actually be first coach fired during halftime

awahl63
Not surprised. Nice guy but just does not have the brain to be a head coach.
awahl63
He has a lifetime record of 82-67 as head coach. His defenses were dominant for several years with the Bears. Put a legit qb on the 2006 Bears and he'd likely have a Super Bowl win. I know his record. I've watched every single Bears game during his tenure and the Bears won in spite of him. I hate to say it but the 2006 Bears run was extremely flukey. The Bears won 3-4 games solely due to defense and special teams.
zekez
He did less with more in Chicago, he was incompetent at best.
awahl63
And he was the defensive coordinator! Great defensive coordinator. Terrible head coach.
Zooty
Geez, I wonder how he is such a great defensive coordinator when he is so dumb........... Consider the LBs and CBs he was working with....
Zooty
In 2003, the year before Lovie took over, the Bears' defense was the 22nd best in the NFL. In 2005, Lovie's 2nd season, they were the best defense in the NFL giving up only 12.6 points per game. And yes, he had great players. Great players who shined in his system and under his tutelage. Do you think it's possible to have one of the greatest defenses to ever play in the NFL without some great players? What? Some guys are coordinators not head coaches
Zooty
Sure....Lovie, Shottenheimer, Reid, Fox, Norv. You can keep them all

Last I checked the head coach was responsible for the defense and special teams.
