2010gt1
Just as the title states: Should I drop can newton for roethlisberger? Roethlisberger as in sure you all know had an outstanding showing in week 8 against Indianapolis. Cam newton's schedule for the rest of the season seems to be a lot easier. Newton Is currently my back up QB. Should I drop him for the soaring roethlisberger? Or should I keep Newton? Keep in mind, this is a back up QB, not a starter. Thedeadcleric
No. No. Er, no. Cam's ceiling is much higher. Unless your starting QB is borderline over Cam stick with him. He's still getting fully healthy and will only improve.
robotpimp
Nope you can't. BTW Carolina's schedule gets pretty easy coming up.. actually through the rest of the year.
cubdaddy
I dont think its as clear cut...Based on your post...I'm guessing you have someone like Rodgers or Stafford (even Cutler) as your QB1 and are looking for a bye week filler...I definitely like his match up vs. NOS compared to Big Ben's match up vs. Ravens...but I've been burned on the Thursday night football matchups before...and I think Ben has more weapons....Feet to the fire...I'd probably roll the dice on Cam... robotpimp
Agreed it isn't clear cut but I think more importantly Cam is not droppable, trade him and pick up Roeth dont drop Cam as it will strengthen someone elses team, if you want to do that get something in return. 2010gt1
I have peyton manning as my QB1, so there is no issues who I'm starting that's for sure. This move is strictly strategic, so my opponents can't have a good QB Guess I'll stick with Newton
3downleague
Ya cam is worth a decent wr or serviceable rb at least. The better strategy would be to let someone else pick up Ben and start him expecting 5+ touchdowns and then be sad when it doesn't happen.
