Scorcher
I think if Indy took him it would be a good move for the Colt's future and allow them to look at other areas in their draft. He's a good player. He did well when Mack was in. Also I think Tate would rather land on a team that is firmly in the playoff hunt with a good chance to be the lead back. keggerz
Don't count Jax out of the running. If for no other reason than to maybe keep him from getting to Indy.

stevegrab
By record. What no blind bidding, how unfair Raiders first, Cardinals last. Â I also understand they need to pick up the remainder of the contract, not sure on that though I think Big John confirmed for me. Â According to this site he is inactive and all the numbers are crossed out, not sure what that means. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/ben-tate/

If he clears waivers, he can have a new contract.
keggerz
Ian Rappoport tweeted this earlier: Claiming & playing Ben Tate costs $634K this year, $2.95M not gteed in ’15. For LeGarrette Blount it’s $318K this year, $2M not gteed in ‘15
wpayers
Blount seems like a bargain at $318k but he's a bad penny. Do you think he's worn out his welcome in the league?
Zooty
Hello Carolina. Another injury prone, over-age , over-paid RB Edited November 19, 2014 by Zooty
darin3
Hello Carolina. Another injury prone, over-age , over-paid RB Â Â Man, didn't even think about CAR. With how the NFC South is this season, maybe they bring Tate or Blount in to inject some life into that offense.

irish
Per Rotoworld, the Vikings claimed him. Â Â Yup and both Asiata and McKinnon are hurt. McKinnon has a back issue and Asiata has a concussion.
SeductiveNun
They do still have Joe Banyard on the roster, who I think would step in if McKinnon and Asiata couldn't go this week. He knows they system and would likely get more snaps until Tate gets up to speed.
IrishPride
The Vikes can shuck it! First I draft AP and drop Asiata the first time AP was re-instated, Can't get McKinnon because of WW rules and now I think having added Tate as a WW claim might actually pay off? The Vikes claim him? I to the curse of 2014!

wpayers
Tate going to the Vikes is a bit of a buzz kill as compared to landing with the Colts. As Rotoworld points out it may take a while for Tate to learn Norv's offense. I am not sure of Asiata's and McKinnon's injury status but it appears that Tate went from one three way to another. OR is this a Vikes move for next season? Does it foreshadow the release of AP? If not, how will he crack the depth chart in 2015? Tate may soon realize things were rosy back in Cleveland and regret opening his yap.  http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5742/ben-tate  How long will it take for Tate to regain any FF relevance? Dolphin_Akie
A bye week will help Tate but I can't trust any of those three at this stage. Â One guy in my league has been saying that AP will not play again in Minnesota so maybe this is the first guy to get the tryout and if it doesnt work out they can cut him and sign/draft someone else alongside the current guys (Asiata/McKinnon). MTSuper7
I think Tate was picked up more for the future - a team knowing it probably isn't going to see AP play another down for them and so has some question marks about what the future of the position looks like. stevegrab
I think Tate needs a HOU like offensive line to be successful behind. Do the Vikings have that?
CaptainHook
Vikings, Colts, and Cardinals all put in a waiver request.
