Matt Forte breaks Larry Centers' record for rb catches

From Rotoworld:

With 102 receptions, Forte broke Larry Centers' record (101) for running back catches, which had stood since 1995. On the ground, Forte finished with 1,038 yards on 266 carries (3.90 YPC). He scored ten all-purpose touchdowns.

Although his rushing numbers diminished this year, nothing on Forte's tape suggests he's in decline. He is 29 years old, however, and the Bears may need to begin thinking about a running back of the future. Forte will enter his 2015 contract year owed nearly $8 million. He's worth it.

And LeSean McCoy gets the Pro Bowl nod over Forte. Whatever. :what::what:

Yeah, McCoy deserves nothing but to watch the cowboys in the playoffs.

When McCoy grows up, he wants to be forte.

Forte is almost 30, has some tread wear on the tires and his rushing ypc declined this year. The Bears have to give thought to a runner of the future, which may start to see them move to rbbc, like many teams in this age.

Forte is a unique player...he has no brilliant overall skill set, but does everything well, exceedingly dependable to his team and to fantasy teams and is the consummate hard working pro. That all said, I have decided going into next year he will be down my list a bit.

They may have already picked their heir to Forte, getting Ka'deem Carey in the draft earlier this year. Carey was one of the top RB prospects coming into the draft, and has done fairly well with the limited work that he's gotten - 4.4 YPC on 36 carries.
