HowboutthemCowboys
Dallas and their officials did a fine job coming back in this game. Dallas almost losing brings em out a the woodwork.

HowboutthemCowboys
I'm not a fan of either team so no bias here. But why isn't anyone talking about the fact the Detroit receiver had a hold of the Dallas players face mask? I think the ref made the correct call picking up the flag, or offsetting penalties could have been called stop making sense. Ya gota hate if u post in this thread

Bobby Brown
Game of inches. Game of a play or two going one way or another making all the difference in the world. Dallas fans should just feel fortunate that the refs picked up the flag because everyone knows that was a potential game-changer.
irish
The governor of New Jersey is a Dallas fan? Yup and that makes me wanna puke! Great job by the cowboys staying mentally tough and fighting for a huge victory! On to Green Bay!!

But let's not pretend Witten wasnt flagged for a hold that took a TD off the board on a hold that gets called about 50% of the time. Lets not for get that reciever had ahold of the defenders facemask on that play either..and the ref missed it...but noone wants to talk about that.I'm sure Dallas never had a bad call go against them lol. Happens in just about every game every week. The officials suck
HowboutthemCowboys
Maybe the punter should've punted it more than 9 truckin yds after that play

He has one had to the guy's chest and as he spun him, he's other hand went onto his back.
Trojanmojo
The league should at minimum ban Pete Morelli from officiating any future playoff games. They should also look into his bank account. I don't care about either team but that was a farce. Funny to see the Cowboy fans here bending over backwards trying to justify it by saying it happened to both teams. Right.

Not defending anything, just stating pure fact. That play wasn't PI and the fact is there were several calls missed on both sides, but isn't that the case in many games? Detroit played a better first half, Dallas played a better second half and pulled out a close victory that could've gone either way.

You're a Cowboy fan so you are seeing the game from that POV. Check the comments on profootballtalk or any other FF site and you'll see. I don't blame you for being happy your team won but the overwhelming majority of football fans think Detroit got screwed. CowboysDiehard
Told my neighbor today that if the game was close, the calls would fall Dallas' way in order to bring about the 'Romo goes home for the Ice Bowl redeux' angle. Turns out I was right and I don't give a damn. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!
Bobby Brown
The defender was grabbing the receivers arm and shoulder before the ball got there; without making any attempt to play the ball. It was clearly PI.
gilthorp
Cheshire Cat posting is what it's called. It is a shame to see what happened in the playoffs but this lob sided cooking has happened before and will again, especially when all sorts of holding can be called on every single play. GB/DAL is the better game to see and one most everyone thought we would see, it was just strange getting there.
Pratts
Can anyone recall a flag being picked up after the penalty was announced? I have seen flags picked up, but it has always been before the ref announced the infraction.
cincy slammers
Even if you say it wasn't PI, Dez coming on the field like that without his helmet is a 15 yrd penalty. Refs totally ignored that.

Cowboyz1
WOW what a game. I have to tell you guys, I need CPR after that one. I was as pissed as a man could be when they threw the ball on 3rd and 1 getting Romo sacked then missing the FG. But my Boys fought and fought. I about had a conniption fit when the Rookie recovered the fumble and inexplicably decided to run with it and gave it back to DET. For him to come back and make the sack fumble for the win. Man o man I was a proud Cowboys fan. What a game. On to Green Bay.
CaptainHook
Sorry, late to this thread . . . but are Cowboys fans actually claiming that the refs were right picking up that flag? Edited January 5, 2015 by CaptainHook
CaptainHook
Just say, "We really got away with one there" or "We really dodged a bullet." Defending it is just laughable.
BA Baracus
I felt very fortunate but thrilled since it really wasn't PI. There were two other calls missed on the lions as well but it is what it is, game's over. C'mon Irish...dude had his back to the ball and holding onto the TE's arm. Never turned around to find or make a play on the ball. That is as PI as PI can be. It really doesn't matter though. The Lions got the ball with 2:37 on the clock and 2 TO's in their pocket. They had a perfectly good opportunity to go get the win but failed to capitalize. Maybe the outcome would have been different if the refs didn't truck it up, who knows. But when you still hold your own fate in a reasonably attainable circumstance, it's on you if you fail to execute.
