tazinib1
Was on set today and the house we were shooting is owned by a very cool older gent who overheard me talking football. He pulled me aside and let it be known he was best friends with Karros and thought I might appreciate a few things. He gave me an autographed "Tuesday Night Football" book, an 8x10 autographed Karros football picture and an autographed legends football card. I'm reading and keeping the book and card but really have no use for the photo. Any Lions fan want it? Just pm me your info and I'll send it to you. Rather it go to someone who will appreciate it then for it to sit in a box.

Junkyard
What a nice gesture... thanks. I would be interested, as well, and sent a PM. I'm not a Lions fan per se, but one of the first books I read that got me into football was "Even Big Guys Cry." I was a Alex Karras fan ever since. It's something I would gladly frame and hang on my wall with other meaningful mementos.
alchico
Had drinks with the guy back in the day. He used to go to the old Lindell AC across from the old Tigers stadium. Very down to earth kind of guy. Met Joe Namath one time and asked him about playing the Lions. 1st guy he mentioned was Alex. Said he was a great guy to party with but don't mess with him on the football field.
