Wolverines Fan
He's 33 or 34 I think but still a very good player. Won't be out of work long.

Wolverines Fan
Go play for Denver in hopes of a title. The Broncos definitely could use him. When Clady went down i started getting cold feet about C.J. Anderson but maybe I'm over thinking it. Zooty
Stupid move by Mathis, his agent and Chip. Mathis will be lucky to sniff half of the 5.5 million at age 34 and demanding a raise was asinine

It will be interesting but I trust Kubiak to have a good run game. He always does. I don't think Denver can afford Mathis unless he is willing to come here for less money then others will offer. SoxBandit
Evan Mathis, please pick up the white courtesy phone. Jay Cutler and Matt Forte on the line.

CJ will be just fine. The Clady injury damages the passing game more than anything. In the ZBS, the LT just needs to be fairly athletic in order to succeed. Dealing with NFL edge rushers in pass pro is where our rookie LT will struggle. That said, Manning's insanely quick release will go a long way towards covering our OL flaws, as per our SOP apparently.

Savage Beatings
Crazy. And just because nobody wanted to trade for him doesn't mean teams won't be tripping over themselves to try to sign him as a Free Agent. He should be getting approximately 31 phone calls tomorrow. Will be very interesting to see where he lands. Wouldn't mind seeing him in Minnesota blocking for AP and Teddy, but he'll probably end up with a Superbowl contender. Shorttynaz
Go play for Denver in hopes of a title. Or.. if you're SERIOUS about wanting to win a championship, pick up a phone, talk to Ryan Grigson and see what blue can do for you. Grigson has signed some of your old teammates - and you'll be blocking for the league's best QB. Edited June 12, 2015 by Shorttynaz

We will have the better defense though. I don't know why, but if I'm a player looking for a title my gut says GB this year.
CaptainHook
I think his asking price may be too high for the Colts. They've already signed enough old guys for 1-2 years.
Shorttynaz
Listening to a local radio show where they were just touching on this. Their take is the Colts would make the most sense - but Miami and Buffalo are rumored to be the front runners.
CaptainHook
The problem is Mathis is more of a zone blocking scheme kind of guard. That doesn't fit what the Colts do. Plus his asking price will be high. . .
tazinib1
Did not allow a sack in 2/3 years with the Bengals. Was PFF #1 rated G 2011/12/13 and #2 last year. I think he deserves what he's asking and he'll be highly productive for whoever has the brains to sign him.
Shorttynaz
His agent is Drew Rosenhaus. Just as taz said, Pro Football Focus has him as a top 2 guard these past 5 years, and he's ranked up there again this offseason. Rosenhaus claims they've had up to a dozen teams already contact him regarding Mathis and his price. Those two things alone tells me he's going to the highest bidder - most likely a team with no "real" chance at a championship. Zooty
dude is 34. He switched agents AFTER he signed his big deal with Philly. He and Drew are both looking for a payday as the oldest starting lineman in the NFL.
