daddyscientist
Hey Everyone! Need a little bit of trade help. I was offered Big Ben and Melvin Gordon for my Andrew Luck. 12 team ESPN Standard Scoring Auction Draft. My team: Dez Bryant, Dal WR T.Y. Hilton, Ind WR Andrew Luck, Ind QB DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR Jimmy Graham, Sea TE Frank Gore, Ind RB Andre Ellington, Ari RB Matt Ryan, Atl QB Brandon LaFell, NE WR Doug Martin, TB RB Torrey Smith, SF WR Devonta Freeman, Atl RB Texans D/ST D/ST Adam Vinatieri, Ind K Josh Hill, NO TE DeAngelo Williams, Pit RB I was offered: Ben Roethlisberger, Pit QB Melvin Gordon, SD RB -- for -- Andrew Luck IND QB What do you guys think? Is Big Ben that big of a drop off from Luck that its not worth an additional RB1 in Melvin Gordon? Please help... Thank you!
millworkguy
I'm pulling the trigger on that one, (as I don't trust any of your rb's) but I'd try for a little more first. Can you improve your te2 (hill) in the deal, and who would you drop to make the deal?
ImNotSoIgnorant
No, I wouldn't do it. I like Luck a lot more, and Gordon's a rookie. Maybe offer to trade Luck and one of your RBs for Rapelisberger and a RB upgrade.
willswear3
You do need to improve your RB position, but I'm not sure Gordon is much of an upgrade. I'd look for more value.
yaWgnorW
Yeah, I think we all agree your RB position is hurting, and Gordon is basically a hit or miss, most likely a miss this first year. Ben isn't bad but I'd say you might be able to get a better RB out of shipping Luck.
Donutrun Jellies
The risk of Gordon doesn't do enough .. get more of an Rb if you're giving up Luck for Ben.
robotpimp
agreed, so much uncertainty with a rookie coming in it would be hard to give away Luck for ?? and the Roeth.. Shady McCoy, CJ Anderson, Murray, Morris.. I might look at it harder.
Finn5033
Ya I'm not giving up Luck for Gordon even with Big Ben. If you're giving up Luck you need a RB1 Edited August 3, 2015 by Finn5033
Jimmy Thick
Again, why would anyone even consider trading possibly the best QB in fantasy is absolutely assinine. Running backs have no value compared to an elite QB. Jimmy Thick- Winning championships is easy with trades like this.
