Norton
Starting to think (1) Hecould start to cut in to Hydes carries, (2) He may be a RB teams want and (3) Could he be the starter by the end of the year? Am I full of the cool aid?
Sunday Couch Potatoe
Yes you are he has hyde, bush, hunter, and davis ahead of him. If he makes team it will be strictly for special teams
tazinib1
I'm sorry but the line for a 27yr old former rugby player doesn't serve kool-aide. It does sell $5 crack pipes, complete with a bag that Bobbi Brown would be proud of.
Norton
Yes, I know it is a long shot but it seems every game he is doing something that the press is going crazy about.
Sunday Couch Potatoe
Because he's a cool story and media loves it that's all no chance. It'll just be a cool story if he makes team

gilthorp
He just might be the real deal, showing some real vision in the dirty spots.
Norton
I am debating on dropping R bush for him. Bush will never see my line up. Worth the chance?
Balzac
The guy is former elite-level fullback - if you're familiar with rugby, you know that fullback is the guy who returns kicks multiple times over the course of a game . . . without blocking. Take a guy who is an elite-level talent as a rugby fullback and give him some blockers - he should have immediate success as a kick/punt returner. Give him some time to really learn the game and he could be useful in certain offensive packages - but I doubt he'll have enough of an understanding of the game to really be a consistent contributor on offense anytime soon. Dolphin_Akie
I am debating on dropping R bush for him. Bush will never see my line up. Worth the chance? Yes, I know it is a long shot but it seems every game he is doing something that the press is going crazy about. Just because the press loves him doesn't mean he's going to see the field outside of special teams. Otherwise Tebow would be the starter in Philly this year. Phat Rugby
He's got talent (I may be a bit biased) but his lack of experience showed. It will be interesting to see what he does later in the season but I'm not rostering him.

flemingd
First and 20, a lot. Quarterback fakes to throw, fakes again, runs over the line of scrimmage and falls onto his tummy lest anyone hurt him. You’d be teased in rugby league and penalised. tazinib1
Was cut today for RB Gaskins So the kool-aid gave the 49r's Gas so they cut one? Â Man that was a reach
Cowboyz1
Hope the Cowboys snatch him up. We could use a practice squad special teamer.
WildTurkey
what a dumb move. With Hyde out, no controversy possible, why not give the guy a flyer and see what you've got? This 49'rs team...my lord if I was a conspiracy theorist....the Tomsula hire, the multiple retirements ... the Kaepernik regression ... what in the world is happening here? Â There's no doubt the entire roster of the All Blacks could compete for an NFL spot. Sure you have to learn the rules and nuances of the game, but the athleticism is definitely already there. If basketball players can transition to top notch TE's there is no doubt these guys, who run constantly, have tree trunk thighs and are mean as pitbulls angered, can't earn a spot on an NFL team.
