keggerz
Yes, Reggie Wayne has signed with the New England Patriots.

Shorttynaz
It's a good signing for the Pats - but I fail to see what he's really going to bring them - they already got LaFell, Edelman, Amendola, Gronk and like 30 RB's who can catch out of the backfield...
tazinib1
GB was interested but I'm sure the powers that be in NE made him a nice offer. Any contract details?

Shorttynaz
Maybe instead of cheating - it's just another shot across Indy's bow. "We can't steal the playbook, so we'll just pay someone who knows it inside and out." Hell - I'd consider it - gain whatever advantage over your close competition. Ya lost your DBs this offseason, so maybe Wayne can help share what to look for in certain formations.

This is just the Pat's knife in the side to the Indy fans..... and BB will make Reggie a focal point of the game come week 6. It would be hard for any fan seeing Reggie catch a TD pass in Indy wearing any other uniform, let alone a Pat's jersey. Maybe Reggie will get a book deal out of it...... keggerz
Don't forget that Reggie wanted to stay in Indy and Indy didn't want him.
Shorttynaz
Don't forget that Reggie wanted to stay in Indy and Indy didn't want him.I vaguely remember him stating he was going to retire if the Colts didn't resign him. Problem was there was no room for him there. Last season he looked pretty damn old. Hilton and Moncrief were running circles around him. Add to the mix a veteran in AJ with a little more left in the tank, a young rookie in Dorsett and don't forget about Duron Carter (Chris Carter's kid) from the CFL. There was just no room left for Wayne, who was bound to take a backseat. Sucks as a Colts fan to see him go to NE - but I get the move. It's a good move for him. He will have played for 3 of the best QB's our generation will have seen - kudos to him. As far as football goes though - I honestly don't see how he can make that big of an impact - seems more like a depth signing seeing how the Pats WR's seem to spend more time IR than cops spend at Dunkin Donuts - not to mention they just lost Brandon Gibson this past weekend to a season ending injury. Wayne will probably start the season as a starter, but I don't see him being a difference maker or even finishing the season as their #1, #2, or #3. tazinib1
So the Patriots just let the air out of the Colts fan base.
Big Dogs
Don't forget that Reggie wanted to stay in Indy and Indy didn't want him. The fans really wanted him to stay as he's been nothing but a complete class act his entire career here in Indy....... but like Shorty said, it didn't make sense for the business, and he was getting passed by the youngsters.... So the Patriots just let the air out of the Colts fan base. Well, they are good at that sort of thing!!!

Gourdeau
He signed for 3 million.. I doubt he's there to just sit around... Sigmund bloom had an article where he indicates that there is evidence to believe that Lafell is going to start on the PUP list

ReturnToSender
Knowing that team, an dhow they use RBs, Wayne might be in the starting line up day 1, and then never seen again.
