jjwbean
Does anyone have experience running a draft on CBS over mutiple days. 12 team league and we are having a hard time scheduling a draft meeting this year. How do you get teams to monitor the draft board to keep the picks moving? thanks Edited August 28, 2015 by jjwbean
loaf
setup a free league in Myfantasyleague and use that as you can set a timer for as long in between picks as you'd like. Once done, transfer the rosters...but I think the transfer is a manual entry
jjwbean
CBS has all of the tools to run the draft including the timer. I just wanted some feedback on how a draft might work if it held over several days. I am afraid that it would be difficult to keep everyones attention. boltnlava
On MFL our drafts are slow drafts. At times there is some panic and or prodding owners but they always work out and all are ready for the regular season ahead of time. Never had a problem (so far). Most are used to this way of drafting though.
Gopher
Set the timer for a reasonable time. If they time out, their pick is either skipped, or auto-picked. Set the expectation that everybody checks in regularly. If you can, require everyone to receive an email/text notification when they're on the clock (if CBS has that capability, like MFL does). Other than that, get contact info (preferably cell numbers) so that you can nag them if they're not picking promptly.
loaf
email/text notifications are key. Also, have everyone put their email/cell number on the site and have someone make sure to prod them into their pick if it doesn't look like they've logged in in a while
