The NFL is keeping an eye on it.

They could keep the game in Washington but just move it to Monday night.

They will either move it to Monday or Tuesday or move it to week 8 where both teams have a bye if the hurricane moves its way.. If it is moved to week 8, it will be considered a week 8 game for all porposes.

So essentially any players you had in that game would post 0 for the week?

Would it also be considered week 8 for all dolphins? :fool:

I'd look at it more like the players would have a BYE. I assume we'll know well in advance of Sunday afternoon whether the game is being pushed, so there should be ample time to fix your lineup.

Most likely seems to be moving it to week 8. I'm already starting to consider who I'd use to replace Jordan Matthews if this happens. For those who may be depending on a PHI or WAS players and have few options to back them up its time to start checking the WW for options. There's bound to be somebody with Brady as their QB1 and Bradford at QB2 and no other QBs.

The bad thing for these teams is they weren't approaching this week like a bye, they prepared for the game having full practices including players that might have sit out several days if it was a bye. To suddenly be told on Fri/Sat "this is your bye, no game this week, and then no bye week 8" will feel like they didn't have a bye, except they don't take the beating on game day.

Well, they wouldn't have a game in week 4, they would have a bye, so it would be like starting any other player on bye, which I assume your league would give a 0 to.

gotcha. Looks looks like John Brown or Hankerson are going into the flex instead of Matthews

got 3 tickets available to the highest bidder...

sat through the Redskins/Eagles MNF monsoon game a few years ago (you know, the one where the Eagles led 35 - 0, 1-play into the 2nd quarter?)...it wasn't fun then (regardless of the outcome), and it won't be fun this time, either (regardless of the outcome)...especially when I've got a nice warm, DRY, couch sitting in front of my flat screen...

i really DO hope they move it to Week 8...

Would you accept zucchinis in trade?

nope, only a sack of beans...

latest from cbssports.com is that the game will NOT be postponed...which, I personally think is stupid to make that announcement this early...I guess the NFL can always go back on that at a later time, though...

First NFL game I ever went to was a Redskin vs Eagles game. Right at kickoff the lady sitting next to me try stepping over the chairs and broke her leg. All through the game there was arguing, fighting, beer throwing, cursing, etc. I would rather watch the game on my TV.

hurricane update shows storm tracking farther east than initially thought ... doesn't look like it would affect the game too much at this point.

obviously this can change but forecast is improving ....go out to sea jaoquin

I think what the OP is really asking is this:

What happens if I start PHI and/or WAS players in my game this week (week 4) and then the game is A) delayed until later in the week, but sill a week 4 game or B ) moved to another week entirely (week 8) -AND- and owner leaves if PHI and/or WAS players in his week 4 lineup.

A ) If the game is delayed but still played in week 4 there is no issue, just will take a little longer to finish the weekly games and could potentially impact fantasy activities (free agency, trades, etc) for week 4.

B ) If the game is pushed out to week 8 and owners do not remove the WAS and/or PHI players from their lineups then they take zeroes for those players. Essentially they would be starting players on a BYE week. Owners with WAS and/or PHI players will have to be attentive to the situation. The worst case scenario is that the NFL drags its feet and does not decide to move the game to week 8 until after games have been played which would limit people's options to sub players.

No, no and no. If the game is delayed and played as a week 4 game fine. No harm and no foul. If it is sent to another week this week will be erased from my league. We did not draft Eagle and Redskin players for a week 4 bye week and I refuse to blow up my team for something like this. If all scheduled week 4 games are not played then week 4 gets erased and we go on from there.

Ummm OK

I'm sure the rest of your league will be cool with that

Well hopefully the game gets played. If not,yes I hope the league understands, beause I am commissioner and I don't know any fairer way to handle it other than to wash the whole week. People did not draft their teams with this in mind. People can't drop Tom Brady because Bradford or Cousins can't go because of weather. I all ready have players on week 8 bye, can't have the Eagles on it too or won't have a team. Hopefully the NFL understands the game has to go and plays it somewhere week 4. Otherwise, I just don't know.
