M.Lynch - playing?

Officially ruled out for tomorrow night.

I'm curious to know who OFFICIALLY reported that so I can never trust them as a reporter again. Of course experienced FFL players should know that a player is not OFFICIALLY in or out until the inactives list is provided 30-60 minutes before kickoff.

Running in pre-game warm ups tonight, Marshawn Lynch looks as if he'll be ready for Sunday. Which is what Bengals HC Marvin Lewis expects.

So he's not out, gotcha.

Actually the inactives are in 90 minutes prior to kickoff. I took the tweet as still out tonight, but may be ready for the next game.

HE IS OFFICIALLY OUT...

Per rotoworld, the official inactive list has been released...however, rotoworld also states Lynch was ruled out yesterday, which is what I had also heard...I realize it's not "official" until the team turns in their list, so I'm not sure exactly how it works (or, what repercussions there would be) if a team "unofficially" announces something earlier in the week, then goes back on it...I think Belicheck just doesn't say anything all week, which is how he gets around that...LOL

Anyway, it's "official" now...

Seahawks Marshawn Lynch, DT Brandon Mebane, S Steven Terrell, CB Tharold Simon, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, OG Kristjan Sokoli, and DE Demarcus Dobbs inactive for Monday night's Week 4 game against the Lions.
Bruce Irvin (ankle) is active. Lynch (hamstring) was ruled out Sunday and will be replaced by Thomas Rawls and Fred Jackson. Mebane has a groin injury. Oct 5 - 7:22 PM

I simply quoted another post, I didn't pay that much attention to what day it said. I'm not sure what that tweet was now as I read it, what does the Lynch active status have to do with Marvin Lewis ???

BJ,

Thanks for that clarification, wasn't sure how long before kickoff but guessed based on what I've seen in updates online including the huddle inactive list

As for the whole official unoffical thing, I just wish more people would avoid repeating rumor as fact. If some news outlet has a story saying "we believe player X will not play" that is not him being declared out. If the team releases a report or a coach is quoted as saying a player is out, that at least is horse's mouth stuff and people can include that info "according to head coach Pettine, McCown will start Sunday".

But in today's world of instant media it is more important to be first than to be factual or provide good info.

If I'm not mistaken (which I didn't confirm before I typed this - doh!), I believe the Seahawks are teed-up to play the Bengals next week, which is what Marvin Lewis would have to do with preparing for Beastmode next Sunday...

Ok, double DOH for me then, didn't sink in that talking about Sunday was NEXT SUNDAY and yes it is SEA-CIN that week.

yes, the schefter tweet was from last night's pre-game warm-ups when he said it looks like he'll (Lynch) be a go for next Sunday's match-up w/the Bengals (which, should be an excellent game, btw)...whew, glad we've got that all straightened out, now!

extremely tough match-up for Rawls this week, though, on the road against the CIN defense, which has allowed ZERO rushing TDs so far this season...although, I may be forced to pick him up and start him in one league, simply due to attrition...his shear volume should make him an "ok" option this week...
