Adrian Peterson might sit Sunday night

Sunday night's Giants-Vikings game will have no direct playoff implications if the Packers lose to the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings will clinch a playoff spot if the Seahawks beat the Rams OR the Falcons lose, both likely scenarios. If Green Bay then loses in Arizona -- another seemingly likely outcome -- Minnesota's Week 17 game against the Packers will become a win-or-go-home showdown for the NFC North crown, with the Week 16 Giants-Vikings game becoming meaningless. On Wednesday, coach Mike Zimmer left open the possibility of the Vikings resting players "that are hurt or something like that." Adrian Peterson, of course, is coming off a Week 15 ankle injury. Dec 23 - 7:50 PM

If Peterson sits is Bridgewater a better or worse option at QB/

And yes, my finals MAY come down to starting Bridgewater. God have mercy on my team.

It was the right choice. Beckham against AP. It had the potential to be a fun high scoring game. Now it looks like a pre season game - if AP sits - and one that may be completely meaningless if Washington wins (eliminates the Giants) and Seattle wins.

If these scenarios happen, does this make Eli a better option as Minnesota has nothing to play for? The Giants are trying to get to .500 and end on a positive note. The Vikings want to stay healthy for a much bigger game the following week.

Sure why not... So let me get this straight 4 leagues I'm in the championship 2 I lost OBJ and now the other 2 I lost AP check and check. Sounds about right to an already incredibly crazy and unpredictable season... Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yes

I agree; if AP does sit and we know soon enough I'll consider McKinnon over the likes of Lamar Miller, Denard Robinson, Frank Gore ETC. I'd expect a reasonable number of carries, but enough catches to really have value in a PPR league.

I'm rolling with McKinnon in PPR league instead of A.J Green in my flex spot !!!

These scenarios have existed all week...I would have thought that they take that into account.

Flex decisions for all but the last week are made almost 2 weeks (12 days) before the game, this flex decision was made at the conclusion of week 14 around December 15th. These scenarios were impacted by another weeks game. It is better than original PIT-BAL and no other better options that were not protected (CBS kept NYJ-NE and pretty sure Fox protected GB-AZ).

The NFL does its best, try to get a good matchup on SNF, but sometimes that changes. And that can impact fantasy football.

Man...I was watching that matchup...what a heartbreaker. If AP played one more drive you would have gotten there.

The thing the bugs the most is it looked like he was ready to come out on the field, but then the giants tried the onside kick and he was done from there and saw him put his jacket back on.
