No one mentions Nelson here. he could very well be a top 10. Look at how much GB missed him. I'm not saying he's definitely top 10, but very well could be. That being said, my top 10 in a PPR are:

1. Brown

2. Jones

3. Bell

4. OBJ

5. AP

6. ARob

7. Freeman

8. Marshall

9. Nelson

10. Hopkins

I like this list a lot, but I think A Brown, Julio, and OBJ have to be the top 3 picks in PPR no matter what. You get any of those guys and you are going to be building your team around an excellent player. After that, I go with the big RBs because they are still so valuable over the rest of the running backs.

1. A Brown

2. Julio

3. OBJ

4. Bell

5. AP

6. Gurley

7. Freeman

8. David Johnson

9. Hopkins

10. Marshall

11. A Rob

12. Charles (he has been as consistent as they come when healthy, but we don't know what to expect about their back field at this point)

13. Langford (I would probably consider him at 9/10 overall even, this is obviously assuming the Bears let Forte walk, but I think he is a major top-5 running back sleeper for next season)

David Johnson will be awesome if Chris Johnson doesn't return or they give old brittle bones Ellington a chance. Langford will be valuable if Forte leaves if not worthless same with West if Charles is healthy he will win backfield. I don't trust Gurley at all especially PPR.

What makes you not trust him? He had 1100 yards/10 TD and finished as the 5th best running back in fantasy without starting in 4 games. That is a solid season for any player, let alone a guy that missed games and played for an awful offense. Their offense can't get much worse than it was this year and he was still amazing. I think I trust him more than most other backs.

You guys are all putting Bell in your top 4 after tearing up his knee? I think I would only draft him later in the RD 1. With the exception of AP, knee injuries are generally 2 year injuries. Even with guys coming back in less than a year they don't fully recover until the 2nd year after. I guess it would just be hard for me to invest a top 5 pick in him.

FWIW- This is a better discussion for the regular Fantasy Football forum. You'd get more traffic. Guess that's the issue with everyone chasing off anything resembling advice questions

Ewwwwww, ewwwww, please pull over it's the fun police. I don't fit in a category man, peace dude lol. I guess I trust Gurley more than Bell. Everyone looks at potential and Bell could be a #1 pick if healthy. I won't draft Bell until at least #12. Remember Gurley did get hurt and foot injuries always come back look at Ellington. I predict Gurley misses 4 games next year with injuries and he won't catch but 10 passes all year. I wouldn't pick any RB in top 5. AP is slowing, Lynch gets hurt, if CJK moves on David Johnson is the first RB for me.

:hscratch: just saying you'd get more commentary in a different forum. Don't be so sensitive. LOL

Well that's kind of different from the top 5 you have in your first post. I'm also more inclined to go WR if I'm picking early in RB. Half the work-horse backs are either old or coming off injury. D. Johnson may be the one I can say I'd take high as of now. But the whole list will completely change in the next 8 months any way.

Yeah I'm just playing. I keep evolving my thought process for next year. I'm certain preseason will change my mind based on injuries and trades etc. Bell comes out in preseason and tears it up he'll be a top 5 pick. He doesn't play in preseason he's a second rounder. I'm definitely taking a top WR other than any RB if possible. "Sorry Dez is not first round worthy as with D Thomas both second round". Brown, Jones, OBJ, Hopkins, Arob and Marshall now my top 6. Then D Johnson, Freeman, Gurley, AP and Bell then J Nelson as 12. Arob is the biggest risk at WR then Nelson. I won my league stacking a top WR with 2 top 20 WR and stacking a top 10 RB with a top 20 RB. Reed killed for me at TE and streamed. QB,K and D losing Romo and Rivers started to suck. Is there a QB that can be argued to be a top 12 pick? Not for me
