FastSteve
Trade Edelman for Kelvin Benjamin of CAR? 12 team 2 division DYNASTY PPR Every catch is a point. The first top 26 OVERALL players were QB. With PPR the 1st 5 NON QB were WR, RB doesn't come in till 38th & only 2 RB even cracked the top 50. We start QB-1 RB-2 WR-2 TE-1 K-1 Flex is RB/WR/TE, 3 each at LB, DB, DL, bench of 15, IR -5 Relevant players ME QB- Roethlisberger, Newton, Tannehill, Cousins RB- Stewart CAR, Gurley, L Murray OAK, A Abdullah DET, J Allen BAL, S Vereen NYG On IR - J Charles, D Lewis NE, K Robinson NO WR- Marshall, Hopkins, A Robinson JAC, Edelman, T Lockett SEA, Snead TE- H Miller PITT, Ebron, Z Miller CHI So I have Cam and do like to team up my QB with a quality WR if they have one. With having Ben though cant say I will always start Cam. Anyway the guy that has Benjamin traded me Edelman in a previous trade for Pierre Garcon and I can't recall who else we had in the trade right off hand. However he has said a couple of times to me that he should have held onto Edelman. So it is clear he would like him back. Should I offer him a straight up trade of Edelman for Benjamin? Benjamin clearly has more years left in the tank (though Edelman should still have plenty) & clearly so does his QB compared to Edelman's. kdko
If you say PPR that implies everyone point is a catch, no need to be redundant, and i promise i'm not trying to sound like a dick. I've just seen that on two threads of yours. Anyways, that sounds like a parallel trade to me. Edelman had a career year and it might be smart to trade him high. Olson and Ginn have really emerged this year though, whereas Edelman and Gronk are Brady's clearcut favorites. I'd maybe try to shop Edelman out for some other guys, like Nelson or someone else you might have an opportunity to trade low for.
FastSteve
I say that because there are different levels of PPR. Some leagues it may only be half a point every catch. Seen some even .25 per catch. When people say PPR, it doesn't automatically mean a full point per catch. I play in another league that people call PPR where every 5 catches are 3 points. As for the trade, Olsen is starting to get up there in age & Cam looks to growing in his passing game. Ginn I think was more of situation & opportunity this season with Benjamin out. FastSteve
But I do what? And thoughts about proposing that trade? Should I? Or not worth it?

kdko
Actually PPR implies 1 point per catch. What do you think PPR stands for? Hahahaha. If it's not 1 point per reception then it's otherwise said. Don't need to argue just for argument's sake. FastSteve
Wasn't arguing for arguments sack. The forum does NOT have some system for people to use. And people use the term PPR for many different points system regards catch points. A league where it is half a point per catch certainly isn't a standard league. So calling it a PPR & stating it is half a point per catch is certainly closer to describing the league properly than saying it is a standard league but has catch points. As I said I have seen people use the term PPR MANY times to describe leagues that aren't a full point per reception & clarify what the actual points per catch are. Till the forum gives some kind of ranking system for people to use to describe this level we can fully expect to see this continue. FastSteve
OK I have gotten little response about the trade itself. I really don't care if it is a lateral move. As long as it isn't a DROP OFF. I prefer to team up my QB's with a good WR/TE from their team. Is Brady a better QB than Cam? Of course. But both Brady & Edelman are older than Cam & Kelvin. Is this trade worth doing? With consideration that LATERAL does not bother me. I think there is a good chance I could get this trade to go. The only thing making me hesitate a bit is the PPR thing with Edelman being a possession receiver. Good value there in the catches but Kelvin should probable get more TD's than Edelman considering how the TD's mostly go to Gronk.
EaglesSven
Cam Newton is making bums like Ted Ginn and Jerricho Cotchery look good right now. And you're right about Edelman probably having a few years left, but does Brady? We've all seen what happens to slot receivers who move on from Brady to pay days. Besides, Benjamin's injury happened early, he should be 100% for next season. I'd do this trade for sure. And if you just say "PPR league" that means one point per catch. Saves you some time + lots of argument.
jamesplante11
I think I can weigh in on the whole Pan, Pam debate.....The D is silent PPR = 1 point per reception .5 PPR = .5 point per reception and you typically see that across all these forums oh and I would make the trade Edited January 8, 2016 by jamesplante11
