jamesplante11
It's rumored that The Dolphins and Gase are finalizing a deal to make him the new HC. How quickly do all the other vacancies fill up with option #1 of the board? stevegrab
Heard last night he was front runner and having a second interview. If he signs, we might see 1-2 more fall in line by Mon/Tue, but doubt all of them go quick. Hue Jackson may be the other main cog. A little surprised Chip is getting so little interest, only interviewed with SF, but cannot say I'm unhappy about it (don't want him in Cleveland). Rileyrott
Dolphins hire Adam Gase. Per Roto: Dolphins hired Adam Gase as head coach. It is reportedly a five-year deal fro the man who will become the youngest coach in the league at just 37. After striking out in offseasons past, owner Stephen Ross finally landed his man. A strong offensive mind who coaxed an efficient season out of Jay Cutler and helped Peyton Manning to some of his best performances, Gase will now be responsible for elevating Ryan Tannehill from an average NFL starter into the franchise quarterback he is paid like. With Gase gone, the Bears could turn to QB coach Dowell Loggains for their coordinator spot, although Gase could look to bring Loggains with him to Miami. Lions OC Jim Bob Cooter could also be a consideration if the Lions let him walk. Def.
Going to need a strong DC. Happy to get a guy that can make sense out of the offense, but the D has too much talent to leave it ignored any more then it already has been. Edited January 9, 2016 by Def. jamesplante11
Look what he did with Cutler. Imagine what he can do with Tannehill

Dcat
Look what he did with Cutler. Imagine what he can do with Tannehill Take him from below average underachiever to merely average? Tannehill has always been vastly overrated. JAG with a hot wife.

Def.
Already things I do not want to read, ugh... Dolphins VP of Football Operations Mike Tannenbaum said new HC Adam Gase will have control over the 53-man roster. It's a lot of power for a first-year coach with only coordinating experience. Recently-promoted GM Chris Grier will be limited to the draft and free agency. Gase will also handle play-calling and doesn't expect to hire an offensive coordinator. The Dolphins are clearly all-in on Gase. Really think you should support your first time HC by at least having an OC to delegate some responsibility to even if your still calling the plays on game day. Also seems like Ross is setting up the GM and HC to eventually have a power struggle by letting them share roster management. Ironic since something similar happened two years ago with Philbin and Ireland.

bud29
Yeah, I fell for the Tannehill trap in multiple leagues this year. Will probably stay away from him in all leagues next season, so you can pencil him in for QB1 stats.
AX2RUN
that's what all the 'experts' said going into this yr Well it was a bit different this time. Going into 2015 hes coming off a good year, he just got paid, the team made moves on defense which were expected to help him in a butterfly effect type of way.... And he sh!t the bed. This year hes getting what some were saying was the best offensive mind available tweaking that offense. I don't expect him to turn into the next big thing, but a servicable fantasy QB for sure
