Aqib Talib Slips and Falls - How could you hate this guy?

I was just talking to somebody about his penalties, did anybody else notice that he took himself out of the game after one of them, like he realized he was getting ready to explode and make another stupid mistake so he was trying to prevent it.

The guy needs to learn to keep his temper and trash talking in check. A PF that gives the offense the ball back after a 3rd down stop could be very bad for their defense.

As a Broncos fan, I'm sure you didn't enjoy his antics and penalties early on in the game.

I was thinking the same thing. He was doing everything he could to help give up that lead early in the game. IMO he is lucky he didn't get ejected for that face mask on Brown, he could have seriously injured him.

That was the play where he took himself out after. The look on his face was almost like "Holy manure, I cannot believe I just tacked him by his facemask."

I thought the taunting call was bogus, but the facemask was really bad. I understand and accidental grab or even grabbing it knowing it's the only thing that's going to prevent a touchdown, but he went way to far with it to the point that it seemed malicious. I could be wrong & I'm glad he cleaned it up after that. I did think the post-game was pretty damn funny though.

He took himself out because he was gassed and knew it would be goal line defense.

 Yeah, I was thinking that as well. The Denver D was selling out to stop the run there.

I hadn't read his statement and people were unhappy with what he said, I didn't get that thinking it was ok to be honest. Now I get it after reading about it

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25478547/talib-admits-face-mask-was-intentional-nfl-to-consider-suspension

“It was B.S. flags,” Talib said, via NESN.com. “One was on our sidelines [for taunting] -- the guy [brown] was talking on our sideline. One I just did on purpose, and I just had to show him. It's probably going to be a fine. But, hey, we're world champs.”

So like shooting some guy for looking at your GF the wrong way, you thought you'd try to tear his head off (maybe break his neck) for talking to your sideline.

Talib admitted the facemask penalty was intentional.

Which was blatantly obvious and not ejecting him I thought sent a bad message because he could have very seriously injured him. There is no place for that sort of play. In a Super Bowl no less.

Guys really? I know I'm a homer here, but ejection in the Super Bowl? C'mon man, there are no less than 3 PFs in any given week in the NFL which you could argue were so potentially dangerous that the offending player(s) could have been ejected. Hell David Bruton got his leg BROKEN on an illegal late hit by a Pittsburg player when they played in the regular season. Nobody called for that guys ejection or suspension and his PF caused a season ending injury. What Talib did to Brown was dirty and illegal, but in no way warranted ejection.

People just hate on Talib because he's an annoying loud mouth.

Yeah I'm not a big Talib fan but an ejection for that play would have been ridiculously stupid imo
