AX2RUN
Don't know about Kelly and Kaeps personal relationship, but from a football standpoint it seems like a match made in heaven. So do you think this is just a move to try and restructure a deal or something or does he legitimately think someone else will bring him in to start? Helpmeout
His best shot to return to former glory is to play in Ann Arbor
stevegrab
So I guess he isn't happy with the 49ers announcement that he would be kept and can compete with Gabbert for the starter's spot.
loaf
for someone that had as terrible a year as he did, I'd be happy making 11.5 million for whatever role SF gives me. How much more will he get elsewhere? He's shown nothing but regression

How much more will he get elsewhere? He's shown nothing but regression  well apparently that was the old coaches fault and the new coach will be worse and he wants to play for the Jets. No wonder this guy is a trainwreck in the locker room (per Pat Kirwin on NFL radio).  Out of the league in

Shorttynaz
Cause there's a huge market out there for you dude. Dumb.. Â Compete for the job w/ Gabbert - win it - play a year in Chip Kelly's offense - then demand a trade (depending if you now know how to be a team player / field leader)
HowboutthemCowboys
I read somewhere that offenses were dumbed down for him before. Maybe he thinks he can't run Chips
Def.
I read somewhere that offenses were dumbed down for him before. Maybe he thinks he can't run Chips  Well to be fair, most don't think Chip can run Chip's. So can you really blame him? AX2RUN
I just don't understand exactly who he thinks would be willing to trade for him and further more if he was able to wrangle a trade, does he think he would start? I can almost guarantee any team he went to he would be an emotional support guy. Â I agree with Shortty. Stay and compete with Nasty Gabby. blaw23
I will preface this with I am far from a Kaepernick fan but there are probably about 4 or 5 teams I can think of that he would probably be considered an upgrade over their current starting QB. However one of those teams is his own so that cuts it down by one.

Helpmeout
Who are the other 4 teams? Cleveland, Houston, LA, Philadelphia...just off the top of my head. I could throw some extras in due to my personal feelings of certain QBs

AX2RUN
Cleveland, Houston, LA, Philadelphia...just off the top of my head. I could throw some extras in due to my personal feelings of certain QBs Houston maybe. They need a QB bad and they pick on the back end of the draft so I guess it could happen. Â Pretty sure Cleveland and Philly would go through the draft before talking to Kaep though.
darin3
Bill O'Brien is a bit of a QB whisperer and the Texans have had absolutely nothing good at QB. Worth a shot? Maybe.

Hopefully they give him what he wants because there's rumblings here that the niners have no intentions of doing this. Bobby Brown
Dude's career completely changed after that INT to Sherman in the NFC championship game.
michaelredd9
I think Kaepernick has shouldered more blame than he deserves. His statistics became slightly worse while the offense around him fell into shambles. San Franscisco was great in 2012 and 2013. Their descent was rapid. His statistics became slightly worse while the offense around him fell into shambles. San Franscisco was great in 2012 and 2013. Their descent was rapid. They also had a vastly superior run game and defense during that time. Covers up a lot of blemishes.

I'm going to go full on AX mode and correct you...Sherman didn't intercept it, he batted it to Malcolm Smith
