Trevthan is a huge loss, but the loss of Jackson is being blown out of proportion. Sylvester Williams (1st rounder from 2013) has been groomed for 2 years and should be ready to start without the defensive line really missing a beat. I still wouldn't be surprised if Denver went DT at 31 and QB at 63 (maybe Prescott of hes available).

 

The defense as a whole probably won't be as good as last year, but they'll still be a top 5 unit. The thing that needs to be fixed for Denver to make a run at repeating is the run game. Kubiak needs to put the offense that was advertised when he got the job on the field. And they've made strides towards that by improving the o-line. If he can get Anderson to play a full season at the level he's finished the last 2 seasons it wouldn't make a difference who our QB was, because they would only have to protect the ball.

The quarterback position is pretty important to say the least. If I were a Broncos fan, I'd be much more worried about the offense than the defense.
