gilthorp
Not like it was a big secret, but Danny Trevathan is heading to the Bears. They can use all the help they can get, and it will only help to put a playmaker out there.
gilthorp
Next up for Da Bears should be Akiem Hicks from the Patriots...more depth needed up front.

Wolverines Fan
Trevathan is tackling machine. If i remember right he was second on the Broncos in stops last year. The Bears really need him.
gilthorp
Hard to say - same scheme for the most part, less talent up front might mean less freedom. Top 25 guy just like this year.
gilthorp
Just heard Da Bears got an OT from Arizona. I can't find it. Bobbie Massie - no idea who he is. Edited March 9, 2016 by gilthorp

Wolverines Fan
The Massie signing: http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/bears-to-sign-cardinals-ot-bobby-massie/ And it looks like they'll move Kyle Long back to guard which imho is the right thing to do. AX2RUN
Be interested to see if anybody is naive enough to think the Broncos will be contenders next season. SB50 was won in february, not march. It's only the first day of free agency. Lets get through the draft and the rest of the pffseason and see the final 53 come out in August to start casting SB51 votes. That being said... I am a little confused by John Elways tactics.... But I trust him to bring it full circle by September

Or be big spenders on the first day of free agency. As for Denver who have they lost, old tired Peyton, a possible starter in Osweiler (I thought they'd keep him) and Travathan. Still have most of the D, as well as their weapons on offense. They lose any key OL too? I've read other saying "well so much for Broncos trying to repeat". I knew when they extended Wolfe during the season we would lose Jackson. Not gonna pay both with the d-line depth Denver has. But we're going to miss Trevathan ALOT, and frankly I feel betrayed by Oz leaving. Been looking forward to him taking over for 2 seasons, and he ups and goes for the money grab. gilthorp
Let's save this thread and move it from a Bears post to a Broncos post. It is unprecedented that a Super Bowl champ loses their #1 and #2 QB, plus some other depth. Their defense will be just fine and I think they are a lot smarter to not have a disaster plan in place here. I make a huge press for Fitzpatrick, or try to deal for McCarron before they sign these other dudes.

Tell me more about the remarkable QB play that got Denver to the top last year. I'm butthurt that Brock left, not gonna lie. But the QB is irrelevant to our success if Elway can keep that defense in shape. Already lost a starting DL and LB, but if they can keep everyone else then they're straight. They'll build the oline through the draft and free agency and whoever they put back there will be better than the shell of peyton manning that was there last year. Def.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with CJ too, with visits between multiple teams lined up there is almost no way he does not walk away with an offer sheet.
