darin3
Not too shocking. He'll land somewhere. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2016/03/johnny_manziel_waived_by_cleveland_browns.html

stethant
I still believe Well at least there's one of you. Seriouslty though this story is not headed in a good direction - I hope he puts football on the backburner and gets his life squared away.

stevegrab
I still believe Not surprising seeing your avatar, you'll pardon us Browns fans if we still believe he is complete garbage and a hot mess too boot. "Draft me and let's wreck this liver" Ha-ha, somebody asked what Browns fans would do to celebrate and somebody mentioned wreck their liver. darin3
Pros to going to Dallas - close to home, maybe being around family will ground him. Backup to a QB that plays with a similar style that was once viewed as a bit of a wild child that seems to have grounded himself Cons to going to Dallas - perceived as a media circus. Perhaps "comforts of home" would not ground him, but rather give him more opportunities to eff up. Possible "pressure".
Helpmeout
I am by no means a johnny manziel fan, but why do people insist he needs to get his life in order? He does the same stuff a normal Dill Josh Gordon in his early 20s does. He just has the means to do it more often and at a higher level, along with media attention.

The fact that he is facing potential charges speaks to him doing more than your average early 20's adult does.

Yeah, this is pretty off-base...

stevegrab
I was in this camp a few months ago but after reading more, there appears to be more than just your normal, run-of-the-mill "sowing your wild/young oats" stuff that's going on here. Those who have followed him closely the last 2 years (I'm one as a Browns fan) have seen all that. And besides that it is his football work, or lack thereof. The complete lost first year because he made no effort to learn the playbook, when he was needed as a backup he was lost. This isn't just some young guy who likes to party a little. because there's a filter in place...try typing a swear word and see what you get I did that once, and some of the nastiest words like cu*t made it through, while tame words like manure (poop) are sensored. It was pretty comical to me. Many work around the filters by replacing some characters with others, though technically that is against the rules. gilthorp
I waited until my 30's to get into fights with my girl that the police were involved with. My 40's until I got pushed out of a car we were driving in.
michaelredd9
San Francisco would be a good landing spot. And I think that some of his partying might have been to get out of Cleveland. It's a bottom 3 organization. And being successful there would mean living there the next 10-12 years.

Maybe that was about getting out of Cleveland too. I don't want him to fail but will be surprised to see him succeed (become a starter), and try not hate on him if it does happen. Just glad he's gone and we can move on to our next 1 in 10 (or maybe 5) chance of success with a first round QB.
