I can keep one of them w/out coughing up a draft pick.

Matt Jones or Ameer Abdullah?

Abdullah no longer has J. Bell competing with him. Just Riddick and Zenner.

Matt Jones no longer has Alfred Morris up his arse either, just Thompson and a couple of guys I never heard of.

Which one better for the next couple of years?

I would favor Matt Jones due to less competition around him and particularly because of his size compared to Ameer's. Ameer is just to small to be anything other then part of a committee backfield IMO.

Tough call.

Both the Lions with Abdullah and Redskins with Jones seem like they're going to give more carries to them in their sophomore campaigns.

Lions have Riddick to steal some looks in the passing game but don't sleep on Chris Thompson for the Skins.

I'd go with Abdullah by a hair but it does sound like the Skins' coaching staff is super high on Jones and they did let Morris walk... so...

Not like Joique Bell - who the Lions let go - was doing much last year.
