I acquired him in an expansion draft and I'm getting interest in him from a guy owning Sammy Watkins. I'd have to give him up with Crabtree who I want to sell but I do like Gordon regardless of the t-rich comparisons. Tiki Barber and others struggled early on, just saying. Watkins I've always had a thing for and we add a WR position. He'd look nice along my other top widescreen Cooks and the Eagles WR. I have a young team and was kind of rebuilding. I've been semi screwed by free agency but helped too. I could snag the Bears cuff Carey or get Hensley or Elliott with my rookie pick whichever falls.

What say you guys?

Melvin Gordon! As a Chargers fan, I can confidently say that the issue is our O-line, far more than it is Melvin Gordon. The only RB that has had success in the past 5 years for us has been Woodhead, and that's primarily in the catching game. If Telesco wasn't so inept and actually bolstered our O-line he'd have a chance. He's shown some shake n' bake.

Do you really watch the Chargers? Like every year? Or do you just pull crap out of the air, throw it against the wall and hope it sticks?

Ryan Mathews ran for 1,091 yards at a 4.9 ypc clip, scored 6 times and caught 50 balls (in 14 games) in 2011.

In 2013 he ran for 1,255 yards and 6 scores (4.4 ypc) but the catches did dip to 26.

Sorry, try again. :busted:

Haha, I like how you're digging up older threads just to troll me. Butthurt much?

Matthews had success in 2 out of 5 seasons with us, and only played all 16 games in one season. Is that what you call successful? That's not what most teams look for in a franchise RB. I don't place the blame solely on him though. What do you think the underlying reason behind his injuries were? Yes, the O-Line. And I've watched the Chargers for over two decades, having season tickets for several years. Try again, blue hair.

Older threads? It was almost at the top of the page, sparky. Not much action around here during the offseason.

You got caught in a BS statement, I'm not butthurt at all. Looks like you might be the one with a painful anus.

And lol @ blue hair.

I'm honestly surprised you can sit down right now.

Thought I would quote the OP so we can get back to the question instead of the bickering between Darin and kdko. Melvin Gordon is a scrub, too small for the NFL and is never going to be able to be an every down back. I see the bad version of Chris Johnson being his career. Meanwhile, Sammy Watkins is a stud. I would absolutely jump at the chance to trade Gordon and Crabtree (who is going to be James Jones 2.0) for Sammy Watkins who is the most established player right now and has the highest career ceiling.
