Kevin White

How good do we think this kid will be? Being opposite of Jeffery, and the Bears being without Bennett this year I think it will benefit them both greatly. What round would you guys feel comfortable picking him as a potential sleeper?

I would not want him in the first eight rounds unless he impresses in training camp. Think about all those rookie WRs last year and how almost none of them did much. And White missed the entire year and has to get back to physical shape plus start over learning the offense that will change a little with the new offensive coordinator. He's a great pick as a non-starter to see what he does but taken as a starter is overly optimistic IMO. Too much risk. Plus he's no better than being a #2 in an offense that likes to run.

On top of all of that, he has limited experience against big-time competition. Started college career at a junior college, transferred to WVU, playing two years.... only one of which featured crazy numbers. Which, for the record, could have easily been inflated by the system.

That all said, his physical tools are off the charts.

I also wouldn't draft him in the first half of redrafts unless he is absolutely blowing up in camp/preseason. Even then I'd have some trepidation.

Yeah, I usually grab a sleeper or two in rounds 9-11, Coleman and Perriman were my grabs last year who obviously never panned out. I'm just trying to figure out where White fits into the picture as far as enticing sleeper draws for this year.

Kevin White may be a late round flier for me - certainly will not be one of my starting 3 or 4 WR's. I'll let someone else jump and take that risk..

As for who to keep a close eye on, wrong thread Noob! :)

So you are saying he is not in your top 48 or 50 for the most part. I say he will be worth that 37-48 WR pick.

Darin likes to post like he did and then make him the 37th WR off the board for upside! :D

I'll be willing to grab Kevin White in the 6th or 7th round as my 3rd receiver (assuming he has a decent camp). I'm now more willing to draft risky wide receivers with upside since the wide receiver position has gotten so deep. If I miss on him, I'm confident that my 4th and 5th receivers will at least be startable.

For all intents and purposes, a rookie WR (yes I know this isn't his rookie yeae) with no NFL experience playing in an offense where they just lost 2 big play makers. No thanks. I'd rather let someone else take that gamble and I'll take a lower ceiling but less risky pick.

Yeah the Big 12 isn't renowned for its defense either.

I understand the fear about his experience and everything, but I think he is worth a 6/7 round pick, especially if you only start two WR. We know very little about him besides the fact that he is a freak of an athlete. He may end up another Brandon Coleman, but it sure would suck if he ends up being the next Odell Beckham and I didn't want to make a risky pick in the 6th or 7th round.

Link the thread then, tard

Create one. This is a discussion forum - don't have to wrap everything up in one thread. I can tell you that you're not likely to get any responses in the 'Kevin White' thread about who to keep an eye on for the upcoming football season. If you'd like a tutorial on how to create a new thread, just ask - Noob.

If we're having a discussion, it can evolve and expand beyond the original topic. It's sad that I have to explain that to someone as old as yourself, you crusty old man.
