RG III to the Browns

So RG3 moves on from being rejected to the epicenter of sadness.

I'm not sure why this is bad for anyone. This team is a mess.

The bar is low, and let Hue do his thing with RGIII. Trade the first round pick for multiple picks and let the metrics pro do his thing.

Management needs to settle down and the first thing they need to commit to is to keep Jackson around for at least 4-5 years. Just stop being amateurs about it.

No he didn't sign with the Cowboys ;)

the Browns will not trade the #2 overall and will take either Wentz or Goff

That is what most experts are saying, and I think they are right. I don't agree with it, and think its a big reach and not like we won't have a top 5 pick in the next couple drafts. You don't need #1 or #2 overall to get the best QB in the draft, especially when they are big projects.

For the sake of all you Browns fans, I hope he's right. I think.

Odds of Griffin being a long-term answer aren't exactly great. Then again, none of the QBs in the draft look esp dazzling, so you could argue to either trade down (better) and/or take best non-QB at 1.02 (worst move IMO unless Titans don't take Tunsil) and hope Griffin stays healthy and Jackson returns him to form. They can probably get a QB comparable to if not better than Goff or Wentz next year with their likely again high pick.

That all said, Goff might not be amazing, but he looks like the best shot the Browns have had for at least a good if not great QB in a long time. Wentz is riskier and boom/bust hasn't exactly worked so well lately.

If the bolded is true then I see no reason to draft a QB now, except it gives Hue and his group one more year to groom them to hopefully lead the team and prevent them from being fired in 3-4 years (if they get that long). But I think loaf and others saying the Browns pick a QB at 1.02 are right, at least that is the reality I am preparing for.

Formula for success with a bad QB seems to be good defense and a running game. Perhaps the Browns should consider a defensive player at #2 or trading it for multiple picks to address a few different needs.

I think this would be their best option. Lots of holes to fill other than QB - OL, WR, S, etc.
