irish
Welcome to all those who have offered up their time and effort to participate in this year's NFL Mock Draft post Rams'/Titans' trade, along with those wanting to follow along!! This should be a lot of fun watching fellow Huddlers play GM for their Homer teams. I also wanted to add that if any Huddler would still like to be a part and have their opinion/voice heard when their Homer teams' pick comes up, feel free to PM me or the Huddler listed with the specific team below. Please keep all selections in the other thread only, as this thread is for just the commentary. Thanks. : )

darin3
I can't see the Rams taking anyone but Wentz. Not saying Goff is not good but I think his ceiling - as some experts have noted - is someone like Matt Ryan. Not a terrible comp, but Wentz is a stud both on and off the field with a ceiling higher than Goff. Â Rams need to make a splash after moving to L.A., and a big, mobile QB with both accuracy and a big downfield arm is just what they need. Â They have the franchise RB, now time to get the franchise QB. Edited April 17, 2016 by darin3

DiehardSteeler
You might also consider putting a 3-4 hr time limit on picks, then making a pick for them after that. And obviously suspend the timer at night. Otherwise we might have trouble getting this in before draft day.

irish
Yeah, I'm not concerned with us not making 2 full rounds prior to the draft. This is after all a fake Mock Draft.
darin3
I'd say if someone doesn't pick for 12 hours, a follow-up PM is sent (if they've already had one... which they should.... we have enough heads doing this where SOMEONE can send them a PM once they come up). Â After a couple of hours (following 12 hours), someone can step in.
flemingd
Tunsil fills the void at RT and gives flexibility to trade Joe Thomas if he can command a quality price. Eventual bookend LT in any event. Â It's likely a trade-down if they don't take a QB, Dallas would be ideal as they could get something and still select either Tunsil or Ramsey. flemingd
Sorry all, I wasn't aware we were doing a 2nd mock and was on the golf course all day yesterday.
darin3
The SD Chargers take Jalen Ramsey, DB FSU Â Shot up the draft board. An absolute stud on the field with a good head on his shoulders. Bookends with Verrett if they play him at corner full time, or is flexible enough to fill the void left by Weddle moving on. Â Playmaker. Cowboyz1
Yep, don't really trust the Bosa pick. Don't like QB here. Jack is an option. What say you Irish. Is Bosa that stud DE we need or is he a poor mans Jared Allen. I just don't know. We need to make this pick count. Pro Bowler even HOFer or bust. Who is it. E squared is also an option but Henry or Dixon could be had later in the draft. Â Boy I wanted Ramsey BAD. Real bad. Â I think it's down to Bosa or Jack right. darin3
It's Bosa! Â Yeah that would be a fairly smart pick if they do in fact keep it. Jack is intriguing but some say Bosa's floor is Jared Allen and high end is a poor man's Watt.

Cowboyz1
You are the most dramatic fake mock drafter evah! Thank you. Thank you very much. It's because I believe this mock will mimic the real thing come draft day. I was hoping Ramsey would be there cause I think he is the most sure pick besides Tunsil. Still hope somehow he's there. Â Â Bosa it is. Damn I hope this kid is good day one. We sure need him to be. Edited April 19, 2016 by Cowboyz1

DiehardSteeler
The Jags are desperate to shore up the defense. Jack gives them the type of player they have not had in a long time, someone that has an nasty attitude that will kick buts into action. Love the pick, a perfect fit for a team on the rise. Cowboyz1
Â No confidence in Demarcus Lawrence? Well I think he needs a player opposite him. He will be really good after he gets stronger and develops more hand control and pass rush moves. He's not yet ready to beat Left Tackles consistently yet. We need a guy on the LT side that can force double teams and let Lawrence develop on the right side. Hardy was a disappointment and our interior is ok but not beastly. Hopefully Crawford will come into his own now that he is healthy. That would give this DL a boost. Bosa has a high motor and has good hand fighting. If he can be the guy on the left side our line could cause teams a lot of problems. Â In my mind we either have to have an outstanding secondary or a dominant D line in order to keep teams honest and let our Offense force the issue with points. If Romo stays healthy and puts up a year like 2014 we will be in the mix.
