BeeR
I have to give the Colts at least a B, maybe an A. Finally they got serious about the OL and somewhat the D. I wish they'd nabbed Sean Smith in FA and drafted a better DL, which still needs a ton of help, but overall their best draft since the Luck draft (not that that's saying much). Side note: if Jack's knee holds up, JAX had the best draft of all IMO.
darin3
Hard to not like what the Bears did. Floyd is a dynamic pass rusher who still has solid overall LB skills (that is, he's not a 1-dimensional pass rusher). Whitehair is a solid OL that can play anywhere and is equally adept at pass and run blocking. Solid pick. Admittedly I hadn't seen much on Bullard but he's a solid run defender, something we'll need on the edge. The rest of the D picks were perfect for Fangio defense. Love the Howard pick. I never thought Langford was "the guy" even with Forte moving on. The team still likes Carey, there was Zeke talk and now with Howard, I can see a true 50/50 split. Lots of folks giving out an A or A-.... I'm comfortable saying this was a B+ with potential to look really good in a couple of years. Wpob
Going to give the Giants a B+. I liked the Apple pick overall, but would have liked to see the Giants trade down and take him in the mid teens and get another pick or two. However, in two or three years, no one will remember as I think this kid will be good. Loved the Sterling Shepperd pick in round 2. He will make an excellent #3 WR or a #2 opposite Odell if Cruz can't go. I don't know enough about Derian Thomson to comment. I liked what I saw from Goodson of the few games i Did see of Clemson Perkins was a steal in round 5 and the reason I went from a B to a B+. He will work his way into the rotation by mid season. Adams is a blocking TE. Solid draft. However, would really have preferred that they would have traded with someone in mid to late teens and get a few more picks. MorningMud
I give the Broncos an A. It seems like they continually made other teams mad with their picks. Jerry Jones admitted he regrets not getting Lynch. Elway came out and said at least 4 other teams informed him that they were planning to select Gottis. We replenished our safety depth with a FS and a SS type. Overall I think these players will all do SOMETHING to help us this year. Edit: I forgot to even mention my favorite pick: Booker. Could it be we just matched the offer for CJ, resigned Hillman, and got our best RB in the 4th round? Zooty
A+ It is always an A+ until guys actually practice or get arrested. I'll wait a few years to grade it http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/4/22/11419222/nfl-draft-2013-grades-first-round-revisited Edited May 2, 2016 by Zooty
AX2RUN
Broncos get a B+ from me. I'm excited about Lynch, but they over payed to move up and get him which is the only thing that kept it from an "A". But if they didn't do it, they wouldnt have got him, so I guess time will tell if it was the right move. All of the other picks filled a need and with the exception of LB, Elway addressed all of their needs.

All of the other picks filled a need and with the exception of LB, Elway addressed all of their needs. To me the key to this draft for Elway, or any drafter, is to get the guys you want. It's so hard to know who actually pans out. Elway has a good reputation there so I give him the benefit of the doubt. But to play the draft knowing when to move up or down is vital and IMO, gives you the best chance to come out of it successful. Elways again proved that he was playing chess while others were playing checkers (not my line, it's used on the radio out here).

Cowboyz1
I have to give the Cowboys an A- only because they took a risk on Smith albeit a calculated one. If Smith can play by the end of the year or be totally ready in 2017 then this draft was another awesome one. This kid Smith is going to be better then lee and that's saying something. He's is faster, bigger and plays the run as good as any LB I have seen in college. Zeke is a beast. He is a faster Murray. Plays hard, hits the hole and can catch out of the backfield. Most importantly he is a solid blocker which is usually a struggle for rookie backs. I love the Tapper pick also. If we get 5 players out of this draft we will be a Superbowl team so long as Romo stays healthy. Excellent draft boys.

gilthorp
There actually isn't a letter in the alphabet your friend the Cowboys fan would give for its awesomeness. Jones sure is a smug drafter...I saw that last year they created the least amount of TO's in NFL history. That should have been addressed big time with a sense or urgency. That should have been addressed big time with a sense or urgency. To be fair, they'd have a better chance of forcing turnovers this yr if their 2 best pass rushers could stay off the pipe wtf. I wish Marinelli would blitz more but that's another topic for another day. They also get Scandrick back ..that should help the secondary. I'm actually glad they didn't overreact to the suspensions and draft for the 1st 4 games of the year, which on paper aren't awful matchups. They're not going to the SB this yr no matter who they drafted. Also, Dallas has drafted better in recent yrs than in the past. I wouldve taken Elliott over Ramsey myself fwiw. Im glad they didn't outbid Denver for Lynch. I wasnt thrilled with the Smith pick at the top of the 2nd though at all

Its so funny to me they dont even realize gold when it right infront their eyes You do know Dak Prescott has the size speed and arm and leadership to take Romos job in the offseason dont you? I watched EVERY MSU Game Prescott brought MSU to #1 in the country for 5 weeks with virtually 0 talent around him Dont even start the tim tebow comparison they are completetly different.. Tim had a team. You should be thanking god they didnt get Paxton lynch.. the guy is a total bum You just got the best QB in the DRAFT minus maybe Geoff Put me on record because Im the same guy who talked like this about Russell Wilson Prescott is the real deal
bud29
I think I'd give the Chiefs a solid B. Lots of picks to like, but I don't agree with the Ehinger or Hill selections. I know Ehinger moved around the OL in college and KC loves versatility, but I thought there were better options (even versatile ones!) still on the board at that time - Connor McGovern comes to mind. Hill has a very ugly domestic violence incident on his record, so at least on the surface, that pick looks really bad. Dorsey said he thoroughly researched him and felt comfortable with the pick, so we'll see. Dude is blazing fast (4.24 40), and one of our scouts said he's the best returner he's seen in 7 years. Ok, here's a question for you. Who did they have in 2014 that had the defense playing well and closing out games to get to 12-4? They were missing Lee, Ware, Spencer and had Selvie, and a rotation of players you never heard of. Mo was hurt, Carr and Scandrick were backed up by JJ and Church. That defense was far worse in personnel then they are now. I am really not worried about the defense at all this year. We have the best LB corps in the league and a couple years removed from a DL that was no named and have a few new guys to help out that rotation. The back end is better with Jones in his second year and Scandrick back with MO playing the best he has his entire career.

However, would really have preferred that they would have traded with someone in mid to late teens and get a few more picks. i think letter grades for drafts are pretty much meaningless cause you can only do what you can do with the resources you have. so i'm not going to dispute your B+, but i wasn't in love with many of these picks. 1st round: Not awful but not great. I know all the studs were gone by then, but I would have taken Jack or Tunsil (I think the locker room can handle ONE "pot fiend" for once) as LB and OT are more pressing needs, and then aim for your nickel corner in the 2nd (Mackenzie Alexander?), but I get why they didn't. or move up. honestly Reese hasn't hit one solid starter after round 3 since his first draft, so at this point, may as well pull a Landon Collins move every year. I don't think they could have moved down. No one was gonna go for Lynch at 10 and that top tier of studs was gone. Idk. It's hard to tell. They don't have a good history drafting DBs in the 1st. Just hope it's not another Prince, Ross, Phillips..... 2nd: Like the pick but a larger WR would have been preferable as they need a red-zone/possession guy. I don't know if Shepard is miles above Michael Thomas (6'3") for example. This really would have been the round to move down or pick up a 2nd 2nd-rd pick for multiple later picks. They really need a OT/G so getting Shepard plus Spriggs or Whitehair would have been crucial. Or another defensive starter like Ragland, Bell, Spence, Ogbah, Jack obviously.... 3rd: Again, like the player but OT Le'Raven Clark who was projected to go in the 1st-2nd is sitting RIGHT THERE and the FS committee is muddier than the RB committee. 4th-6th: Don't know enough about them to say much, seem like ok picks but I have little optimism that any of them other than Perkins (just because he's an RB and they go so late) will be on the roster in a few years time. Yeah, I'm not calling him Luke Kuechly but from what I saw of him (and I caught a good number of UGA games this year somehow) and checked out on scouting reports / tape, he moves around pretty well, not just straight towards the QB. He can help in run D a bit. Time will tell.
